Capcom has made its critically acclaimed title, Resident Evil Village, available for iPhone 15 Pro users and iPad owners with M1 and M2 Apple silicon chips. This thrilling game is now up for grabs on the App Store, weighing in at 7.92GB for download.

For a limited time, players can delve into the spine-chilling world of Resident Evil Village at no cost. An enticing offer lets you unlock the full game for a special price of $15.99, providing a generous 60% discount until November 20. The standard pricing for the base game is $39.99, with an additional $19.99 in-app purchase for the Winters’ Expansion DLC. You can also acquire the All Access Voucher DLC for $4.99. Notably, these DLC packs match those available on PC and console versions, ensuring a consistent and immersive experience for players.

Resident Evil 4 Remake on the Horizon

Gamers can anticipate the arrival of Resident Evil 4 Remake later this year on iPhone 15 Pro, iPad models (M1 and later), and macOS. Although the App Store currently displays a placeholder release date of “Expected December 31, 2023,” there is speculation that the game could drop sooner, possibly following Apple’s upcoming “Scary Fast” event.

A Thrilling Experience on Apple’s Latest Devices

Capcom’s announcement of Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4 Remake during Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro unveiling in September showcased the potential of Apple’s new A17 Pro chip. This chip boasts a brand-new GPU with hardware-accelerated ray tracing, allowing console games to be played on the iPhone with nearly equivalent performance.

Moreover, the USB-C port on iPhone 15 models includes DisplayPort support, enabling devices to output video at resolutions of up to 4K/60Hz natively when connected to a DisplayPort-equipped external display or TV with a supported USB-C to DisplayPort cable. This is a significant upgrade from previous iPhones with Lightning ports, which were limited to 1080p video output using Apple’s Lightning-to-HDMI or Lightning-to-VGA adapters.

Cross-Progression for Gamers

Gamers will be pleased to know that Resident Evil 4 Remake offers cross-progression support across iOS, iPadOS, and macOS platforms. On the other hand, Resident Evil Village features cross-progression between iPadOS and iOS, as it is already available on macOS, with the iOS and iPadOS versions being separate purchases.
