AT&T is getting ready for Apple’s biggest iPhone launch in years, and it is putting some aggressive offers behind the new lineup. The carrier has announced deals for the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and Apple’s first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo, giving both existing customers and people switching to AT&T several ways to save.

The headline offer is the iPhone 18 Pro for as little as $0 per month with an eligible trade-in and qualifying plan. AT&T says customers can receive up to $1,200 in bill credits when trading in an eligible device, including an iPhone 14 or newer in any condition, excluding the iPhone 16e.

That offer comes with some important strings attached. The full $1,200 credit requires the customer to finance at least $1,200 of the phone over 36 months and activate AT&T’s Premium 2.0 plan, which starts at $100 per month before taxes and fees and other discounts. The credits are applied over the 36-month installment period rather than being given upfront.

iPhone 18 Pro starts at $0 per month

AT&T lists the iPhone 18 Pro with a $1,199.99 retail price, or $33.34 per month over 36 months before any applicable promotional credits. With an eligible trade-in and qualifying plan, that monthly payment can drop to $0 through AT&T’s bill-credit promotion.

The iPhone 18 Pro is available with 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB of storage. AT&T currently lists the corresponding installment prices at $33.34, $38.89, $50, and $66.67 per month before promotional credits.

AT&T is also offering an incentive for customers who switch from another carrier. New customers can receive up to $800 per line through a reward card to help pay off the remaining balance on a phone from their previous wireless provider. The offer requires a new line and eligible postpaid service, with customers required to submit their most recent bill within 60 days of activation.

There is another $200 incentive for customers who order a new line online. AT&T describes this as an online-only offer delivered through 36 monthly bill credits, subject to its eligibility requirements.

iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at $36.12 per month

The larger iPhone 18 Pro Max carries a $1,299.99 retail price at AT&T. Its 256GB configuration starts at $36.12 per month on a 36-month installment plan, with 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB models priced at $41.67, $52.78, and $69.45 per month, respectively.

The iPhone 18 Pro Max features a 6.9-inch display, while the iPhone 18 Pro has a 6.3-inch screen. Both models use Apple’s A20 Pro chip and feature a 48-megapixel Fusion Main camera with variable aperture.

AT&T’s current product page also lists the optional Next Up Anytime upgrade program for $10 per month. The feature allows customers to upgrade after making their first installment payment, although early-upgrade access and promotional credits are subject to AT&T’s terms. Customers can make up to three upgrades in a 12-month period.

The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are available in black, silver, glacier, and a new burgundy finish. The eSIM-only versions also use the space previously occupied by a physical SIM to provide additional battery capacity, with AT&T noting that those models offer two additional hours of video playback.

iPhone Duo brings a very different kind of deal

The biggest wildcard in AT&T’s lineup is the iPhone Duo, Apple’s first foldable iPhone.

AT&T lists the iPhone Duo with a starting retail price of $1,999.99. The 256GB model costs $55.56 per month over 36 months, while the 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB versions are listed at $61.12, $72.23, and $88.89 per month, respectively.

Unlike the iPhone 18 Pro page, AT&T’s current iPhone Duo listing does not show the $1,200 trade-in promotion as a device-specific offer. The page currently lists the phone at its standard installment price, along with the optional $10-per-month Next Up Anytime feature.

The iPhone Duo is also not arriving at the same time as the iPhone 18 Pro models. AT&T says preorders for the iPhone 18 Pro Max begin September 12 at 5 am PT, while its iPhone Duo page lists October 16 at 5 am PT as the preorder start time.

Apple’s foldable phone opens into a 7.6-inch inner display and closes around a 5.4-inch outer display. It is powered by the A20 Pro chip and uses a precision hinge and foldable design aimed at multitasking, gaming, photography, and other large-screen experiences.

The iPhone Duo will be available in Star White and Night Sky. Like the eSIM-only versions of the iPhone 18 Pro models, the Duo uses an eSIM-only design, allowing Apple to use the space that would otherwise be occupied by a physical SIM for other internal components and battery capacity.

AT&T is also leaning into its upgrade program

AT&T is positioning its Next Up Anytime program as another way for customers to stay on the latest iPhone. For an additional $10 per month, customers can turn in their current phone and upgrade without having to pay the remaining installment balance, subject to the program’s requirements. AT&T says customers can upgrade as often as three times during a 12-month period.

The carrier is also highlighting its Unlimited Your Way plans, which allow customers to mix and match plans across lines. AT&T says its plans include 5G access, unlimited talk and text, data in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, at least 5GB of high-speed data per line, and up to 250GB of hotspot data depending on the plan.

AT&T is further tying the iPhone launch to its new America’s Best Guarantee. The company says iPhone 18 customers will receive an Apple notification and an AT&T credit if a qualifying network outage occurs. The specific guarantee covers wireless downtime of at least 60 minutes caused by a single incident affecting eight or more towers, subject to restrictions.

For customers considering a switch, AT&T’s combination of trade-in credits, up to $800 toward an existing phone balance, and online incentives makes the carrier’s iPhone 18 launch particularly aggressive. The iPhone 18 Pro is clearly the centerpiece of the promotional push, while the $1,999.99 iPhone Duo remains a considerably more expensive proposition despite offering the most dramatic hardware change in Apple’s lineup.

The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are now entering the preorder window, while the foldable iPhone Duo will follow in October. For buyers deciding where to get Apple’s latest hardware, AT&T’s biggest advantage may ultimately come down to how much value they can extract from the carrier’s 36-month bill-credit system.
