Apple announced on Tuesday that the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro models will be available in new green and alpine green color choices. Starting on Friday, the new finishes will be available for pre-order.

Aside from the two new colors (alpine green for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, green for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini), the phones are identical to those released in September 2021. It’s not the first time Apple has introduced a new iPhone color option months after the device’s initial release. During an event in April 2021, Apple unveiled the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini in a pastel purple color

For the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro, the new green color options will be available among Apple’s other finishes. Starlight, midnight, blue, pink, and (PRODUCT)RED are also available for the iPhone 13, while silver, graphite, gold, and blue are available for the iPhone 13 Pro.

Now since the iPhone 13 series is nearly six months old, introducing new color options could spark interest in Apple’s top product line. It comes as the focus begins to shift toward the iPhone 14, which is slated to be unveiled in September 2022, as is common for Apple.

During its Tuesday event, Apple also unveiled the new iPhone SE 3, marking one of the company’s first significant product announcements of the year. The new iPhone SE 3 is slightly more expensive than its predecessor, starting at $429, and it supports 5G connectivity.

Apple, on the other hand, usually keeps its biggest smartphone announcements until the fall, when it unveils the next iPhone generation.
