Apple has introduced HomeView, a new smart home display that brings entertainment, video calling, personalized experiences, and connected-home controls to a single screen. Announced today, October 13, 2026, HomeView features a 7-inch Liquid Retina display and Apple’s new Siri AI assistant, giving households a dedicated place to manage compatible smart home devices and access everyday information.
Designed to work as a shared household hub while offering personalized experiences for individual users, HomeView can sit on a tabletop or be mounted on a wall. It supports music playback, FaceTime calls, smart home controls, and connected camera feeds, alongside features intended to make everyday tasks easier.
HomeView starts at $299 in the United States. Preorders open today in the US and several other launch markets, with availability beginning November 13. Singapore preorders begin October 15 at 9 am Singapore time, while customers in South Africa can order through Apple Authorized Resellers.
Apple HomeView features a 7-inch Liquid Retina display
HomeView combines an aluminum enclosure, a 7-inch Liquid Retina display, and a domed speaker base connected by a stainless steel hinge. The hinge lets users adjust the screen’s angle for comfortable viewing on a kitchen counter, bedside table, or desk.

The display supports True Tone and automatically adjusts its brightness from 500 nits in brighter environments to as low as 0.3 nits in darker rooms. Its interface can also adapt to the viewer’s distance, presenting information in a way intended to make it easier to see from across a room or up close.
The tabletop model comes in four colors: silver, starlight, rose pink, and space gray. Apple is also offering a separate wall-mounted version in silver and space gray for spaces such as entryways and hallways.

The wall-mounted model supports three purpose-built mounting options from Schneider Home. These include a USB-C Wall Connector, an AC Wired Power Mount, and a Power over Ethernet (PoE) Wired Power Mount. The PoE option is scheduled to arrive in early 2027.

Siri AI brings more conversational voice control
Siri AI is at the center of HomeView’s experience. Apple describes it as a new version of Siri powered by Apple Intelligence, designed to support more natural conversations, broader world knowledge, improved music discovery, and onscreen awareness.

Users can ask questions, request information, and control compatible smart home accessories using voice commands. When paired with a compatible Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad, Siri AI can also use personal context from apps such as Messages and Calendar to provide more relevant responses and take actions across apps.

Users can customize Siri’s speaking pace and expressiveness on a compatible paired device. Conversations started on HomeView can continue in the Siri app, with history synced privately through iCloud across supported Apple devices.

Apple says Siri AI on HomeView supports English in the United States, Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. Some capabilities require compatible devices, supported languages, or additional setup.
Apple lists Siri AI as a beta feature in HomeView software version 27.2. Some features may not be available in every region or language, and device availability varies by market. Personal context requests require a paired Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad running the latest software, with Siri AI enabled and set to a supported language.
Certain Apple Intelligence features that rely on server-side models are subject to daily usage limits, with expanded access planned for a future paid offering. Apple has not specified the price or launch date for that expanded access. Use of these features is subject to Apple’s Apple Intelligence terms and conditions.
Personalized experiences for up to six household members
HomeView is designed to serve an entire household without requiring everyone to share the same personal information. Using facial recognition, the device can recognize up to six people and present each with a personalized Home Screen containing their own apps and widgets.

Personal information in apps such as Messages, FaceTime, Calendar, Reminders, and Find My can be tailored to each user. Shared photo albums, music, and smart home controls can remain accessible to the household and guests.
This gives HomeView a different role from a conventional smart speaker. It can act as a common family dashboard while adapting its interface to the person using it.
HomeView setup and multiuser support require a compatible iPhone or iPad running the latest software.
A smart home dashboard for cameras, lights, and more
HomeView doubles as a dedicated control panel for compatible smart home accessories. Users can control devices by touch or through Siri AI, including adjusting lights and thermostats, locking doors, closing blinds, and viewing connected camera feeds.

The Home Camera face can display up to nine video feeds simultaneously, allowing users to check multiple areas of their home from one screen.
With a supported iCloud+ subscription and compatible cameras, HomeView can also work with HomeKit Secure Video features. These include encrypted recognition of people, familiar faces, pets, packages, and vehicles, along with notifications about activity such as someone arriving at the front door. Video descriptions can help users understand recorded activity without watching an entire clip.
HomeView can also detect the sound of smoke or carbon monoxide alarms and send alerts to an iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch.
These capabilities make the display more than a screen for entertainment. It can serve as a central point for checking on the home and managing connected accessories, provided the relevant devices and services are compatible.
Music, FaceTime, and everyday household tasks
Beyond home automation, HomeView brings familiar Apple services into a shared space. Its built-in speaker system supports music playback, while FaceTime lets users make video calls from the display.
Customizable screen faces can show useful information at a glance, including clocks, timers, and other updates. HomeView also supports Live Activities, allowing it to surface timely information such as the song currently playing or an incoming Intercom message from another room.

In the kitchen, the display can turn recipes found on the web into step-by-step instructions, with hands-free timer controls and ingredient-tracking assistance. Find My integration lets users check the locations of people who have shared their location or locate compatible personal items, including an iPhone or an AirTag-equipped item.
Together, these features position HomeView as a household information screen as well as a smart home controller.
Apple emphasizes privacy and security
Apple says HomeView was designed with privacy and security in mind. Personal experiences are separated between recognized household members, and Siri requests can use on-device processing or Apple’s Private Cloud Compute infrastructure.
According to Apple, data processed through Private Cloud Compute is not stored or made accessible to Apple or other parties. HomeKit Secure Video also uses end-to-end encryption for supported video analysis and notifications.
These are Apple’s stated privacy and security protections rather than independent test findings. Buyers should also note that some advanced capabilities depend on an iCloud+ subscription, compatible accessories, or an Apple Intelligence-enabled device.
Apple HomeView price and availability
Apple HomeView starts at $299 in the United States for both the tabletop and wall-mounted models.
Customers in the United States, Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom can preorder HomeView starting today, October 13, through Apple’s online store and the Apple Store app. Singapore preorders begin Thursday, October 15, at 9 am Singapore time. Customers in South Africa can preorder both models through Apple Authorized Resellers.
Both models will be available in these launch markets beginning Friday, November 13. The tabletop version comes in silver, starlight, rose pink, and space gray, while the wall-mounted version is available in silver and space gray.
Mounting accessories for the wall-mounted model are sold separately. Apple’s three purpose-built options from Schneider Home have the following US prices:
- USB-C Wall Connector: $59.95
- AC Wired Power Mount: $79.95
- PoE Wired Power Mount: $129.95, available starting in early 2027
Siri AI on HomeView supports English in the United States and the other announced launch markets, including India. Apple says Canadian French-language support will be offered later through a free software update.
HomeView will not be sold in the European Union at launch because Siri AI is currently unavailable in iOS there. Apple says it is working with the EU to find a way forward.
With HomeView, Apple is bringing a dedicated display to its connected-home lineup, combining a personalized Siri AI experience with camera monitoring, entertainment, video calls, and smart home controls. Its usefulness will depend on how well those features fit into a household’s existing Apple devices and compatible accessories. The $299 display gives Apple users another way to interact with their smart home without reaching for an iPhone every time, although Siri AI’s beta status and the additional cost of wall-mounting accessories are worth keeping in mind.
