It’s official, God of War 2018 is coming to PC on January 14th, 2022. The game will use NVIDIA Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS), which is only accessible on RTX graphics cards, and NVIDIA Reflex low latency technology, which allows you to respond faster and hit harder combos. For the theatrical experience, the game will also support a 21:9 ultra-widescreen display.

The game also has a full controller and keyboard support with custom key settings, as well as support for the PlayStation DualShock 5 and DualSense wireless controllers, with more gamepads coming shortly. The God of War game was created by Santa Monica Studio and distributed by Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE).

On supported platforms, PC fans can enjoy the theatrical experience of a no-cut camera following Kratos and Atreus across the realms, with the option of full 4k resolution and unlocked framerates. The PC version comes with a variety of graphics presets and choices, allowing you to customize your visual experience based on your setup.

God of War on the PC can produce stunning visual quality that is unique to the platform, thanks to better resolution shadows and increased screen-space reflections, as well as improvements to the ambient occlusion process with GTAO and SSDO.

God of War on PC will include the following digital content:

  • Death’s Vow Armor Sets for Kratos and Atreus
  • Exile’s Guardian Shield Skin
  • Buckler of the Forge Shield Skin
  • Shining Elven Soul Shield Skin
  • Dökkenshieldr Shield Skin

On January 14th, 2022, God of War on PC will be available for $49.99 in the United States through Steam and Epic Games Store. According to IGN India, God of War is only available in a standard edition on Steam and Epic Games Store, and there is no mention of a premium or deluxe edition of the game.

“We’re thrilled to announce that God of War (2018) will be coming to PC on January 14, 2022! All of us at Santa Monica Studio have been humbled by the immense amount of support and passions fans of the God of War series have shown in the latest chapter of Kratos’ story since its release. As of August 2021, 19.5MM copies for God of War on PlayStation 4 have been sold through and we can’t wait to share that experience with a whole new group of players on PC,” said Grace Orlady, Sr. Community Manager, Santa Monica Studio wrote in the PlayStation press release.

“Our primary goal when bringing God of War to PC was to highlight the exceptional content the team created and leverage the powerful hardware that the platform offers to create a uniquely breathtaking and high-performance version of the game,” Grace has added in the blog post of PlayStation.
