If you’ve been waiting for a compact Bluetooth speaker that’s built for travel, outdoor adventures, and poolside listening, Amazon’s latest Prime Big Deal Days discount on Sony’s ULT Field 1 is worth a look. The portable speaker has dropped to $68, down from its $139.99 list price—a 51% discount that matches one of its best prices we’ve seen.

Keep in mind that this $68 deal is currently available on the Orange color, while other finishes may sell for higher prices.

Sony introduced the ULT Field 1 as part of its ULT Power Sound lineup, focusing on punchier bass without sacrificing portability. At just over 1.4 pounds, it’s easy to toss into a backpack, and the included detachable multi-way strap makes it simple to carry or hang while hiking, camping, or relaxing outdoors.

For $68, it undercuts many competing premium portable speakers while still offering features typically found on more expensive models.

What you get

The Sony ULT Field 1 includes:

• 12-hour battery life
• Dedicated ULT button for enhanced bass
• IP67-rated waterproof and dustproof construction
• Shockproof and rustproof design
• Bluetooth wireless connectivity
• Built-in microphone for hands-free calls
• USB-C charging
• Detachable carrying strap for easier portability

Sony says the rugged design is intended to withstand outdoor use, making it suitable for the beach, camping trips, hiking, or simply moving from room to room at home.

Is it worth buying?

At its regular retail price, the ULT Field 1 competes with several well-established portable Bluetooth speakers. At $68, however, it becomes a much stronger value proposition for buyers looking for a durable, bass-forward speaker from a major audio brand.

If you don’t mind picking up the Orange version, this Prime Big Deal Days discount makes it one of the more attractive portable speaker deals currently available. As always with Prime event pricing, you’ll need an active Amazon Prime membership to get the advertised sale price.
