Amazon’s official Luna Wireless Controller is back on sale for $39.99, down from its $69.99 list price during the Early Prime Big Deal event. That’s a savings of about 43%, although the discounted price is exclusive to Amazon Prime members.

Designed primarily for Amazon’s Luna cloud gaming service, the controller stands out thanks to its Cloud Direct technology. Instead of routing inputs through your device over Bluetooth, it can connect directly to Amazon’s game servers over Wi-Fi, helping reduce input latency when playing supported Luna titles. It also supports Bluetooth and USB, making it compatible with Windows PCs, Macs, Fire TV devices, Fire tablets, Chromebooks, Android phones, iPhones, and iPads.

The controller features an Xbox-style layout with offset thumbsticks, responsive face buttons, analog triggers, and a standard directional pad. If you’re already invested in Amazon Luna—or simply want a versatile wireless controller for multiple devices—it remains one of the better values at this price.

While Amazon advertises a 43% discount, $39.99 has become a familiar sale price for the Luna Controller during major Amazon shopping events. That means this isn’t an unprecedented low, but it is still an attractive price if you’ve been waiting for one of Amazon’s regular promotions.

One important caveat is that the advertised deal requires an active Amazon Prime membership. Non-members will see the controller listed at its regular retail price unless they start a Prime membership or qualify for a free trial.

If you’re primarily gaming on Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo Switch, dedicated first-party controllers may still make more sense. But for Luna subscribers or anyone who frequently plays across Fire TV, PCs, tablets, and mobile devices, the Luna Controller’s Wi-Fi connectivity and broad compatibility make it a compelling option at $39.99.
