You don’t need a PhD in gadgetry to know this is a steal: during Prime Day (running July 8–11, 2025), you can scoop up Apple’s four‑pack of AirTags for just $64.99—down from $99—at Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy. That’s effectively one tracker free, and it’s the lowest all‑time price yet on the bundle. If you only need a single tag, you’re in luck there, too: one‑packs have dropped to $19.99 (usually $29) at Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy, also a record low.

Why now is as good a time as any to lock in AirTags

There’s never a bad moment to invest in a little peace of mind. If you—or someone you know—carry an iPhone, AirTags slip silently into Apple’s vast Find My network to broadcast their whereabouts, even when they’re miles away and off Bluetooth. Outfitted with Apple’s U1 ultra‑wideband chip, they not only ping you on a map but guide you with on‑screen arrows straight to your lost keys, backpack, or luggage handle.

Over the years, Apple has tinkered relentlessly with the software side, too. You can now share an AirTag’s live location with up to five people—ideal for families keeping tabs on valuables during a road trip. And with iOS 18’s Share Item Location feature, you can generate a secure, temporary link to hand off to your airline (or anyone else) if your suitcase goes AWOL, speeding up recovery without a tedious back‑and‑forth.

Beyond smarts, AirTags are tough. They’re rated IP67 water‑ and dust‑resistant, so a rain‑soaked gym bag or an accidental tumble off a café table won’t faze them. Power comes from a user‑replaceable CR2032 cell, good for roughly a year of typical use. No daily recharging, no mysterious battery drain—you’ll only swap the coin battery annually.

That said, Apple did skip built‑in loops or holes, so you’ll need a holder or key ring. Thankfully, Prime Day has slashed prices on popular accessories, from leather loops to polycarbonate key rings—so you can clip an AirTag to anything from a camera bag to a pet collar without breaking the bank.

Tile and Samsung’s SmartTag are decent trackers in their own right, but neither matches Apple’s ubiquity. Tile relies on its user base for location crowdsourcing, and Samsung’s SmartTag ties you to Galaxy phones. If you’re in the Apple ecosystem, AirTags are simply more reliable for both remote locating and precision finding. The U1 chip’s directional guidance is a game‑changer for indoor hunts, where the difference between “somewhere under the couch” and “behind that cushion” matters.

Tips to get the most from your AirTags

  1. Spread them out: Stick one in a wallet, one on your luggage zipper, another in a kid’s backpack, and keep the fourth as a backup—or gift it to a friend.
  2. Name them smartly: The Find My app lets you assign names (“Gym bag,” “Office keys”), so you never mix up which ping is which.
  3. Use Lost Mode: If you really misplace something, mark the AirTag as lost. Anyone who finds it can tap it with an NFC‑enabled phone to see your contact info.
  4. Keep firmware up to date: Apple occasionally pushes little tweaks that improve accuracy or add features—so don’t ignore those automatic updates.
  5. Mind privacy alerts: iOS and watchOS will warn you if an unknown AirTag appears to be tracking you over time, giving you peace of mind on the privacy front.

Prime Day deals like this don’t wait. Clock’s ticking on July 11 at 11:59 pm PT—and with the bundle at its lowest price ever, these tags will fly off digital shelves. Whether you’re bulletproofing a family vacation against lost luggage or simply hate rifling through couch cushions, this is one of those rare tech buys that pays for itself in saved time (and stress) year after year. So go ahead: grab the four‑pack, stick them everywhere, and never lose track of another “essential” again.
