Apple fans, the wait is over! The long-anticipated update to the 24-inch iMac has arrived, and it’s all about speed. At their much-anticipated “Scary Fast” event, Apple introduced the world to the new M3 iMac, claiming it to be a staggering two times faster than its predecessor, the M1 model, which had been on the scene for over two years.

So, what’s the game-changer here? The star of the show is undoubtedly the M3 chip. With its eight-core CPU, up to a 10-core GPU, and the capacity for up to 24GB of RAM and 2TB of storage, Apple is promising an exceptionally swift all-in-one experience. Everyday productivity tasks, like using Safari or Microsoft Excel, are set to run a remarkable 30 percent faster. Creative minds will be delighted to know that the new chip enables handling up to 12 streams of 4K video, and Adobe Photoshop is expected to process photos up to twice as fast. The M3 iMac also embraces Wi-Fi 6E for blazing connectivity.

Visually, the 24-inch iMac remains largely unchanged. The vibrant color spectrum, including green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver, still graces its exterior. It maintains its slim 11.5mm profile, characteristic white bezels, and unmistakable chin. The 1080p camera, speakers, microphones, USB port arrangement, and the dazzling 4.5K Retina display all remain consistent. Even the beloved color-matched accessories continue to connect via a Lightning cable.

However, it’s not all static on the design front. Apple is stepping up its environmental efforts with the new M3 iMacs. The stand is now crafted entirely from recycled aluminum, exemplifying Apple’s commitment to sustainability. Internally, the iMac incorporates recycled rare earth magnets, tin soldering, and 100 percent recycled gold plating in circuit boards.

The M2 chip was notably absent from the previous iMac update, leaving enthusiasts awaiting a significant performance boost. With the introduction of the M3, Apple seems to have heeded the call, setting a new benchmark just in time for those still clinging to their older Intel-based iMacs.

The M3 iMac starts at $1,299 for the eight-core GPU model, while the 10-core GPU variant is priced at $1,499. Preorders are available immediately, and the official release date is set for November 7th. So, if you’re seeking a powerful and stylish all-in-one computer, the M3 iMac is now on the horizon, promising a faster and more eco-friendly computing experience.
