If you’ve been holding off on picking up a case for your iPhone Air, today might be the day to stop waiting. Amazon is currently running a limited-time deal on the Maledan Anti-Slip iPhone Air Case, slashing the price by a full 50 percent — bringing it down to just $9.99 from its typical price of $19.99. That’s a genuinely solid saving for a case that punches well above its weight class, and at under ten dollars, it’s one of those purchases that’s hard to argue against.

The iPhone Air, for those who need a quick refresher, is Apple’s most daring design move in years. Launched in September 2025, it clocks in at just 5.6mm thin, making it the slimmest iPhone Apple has ever shipped. It features a 6.5-inch ProMotion display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Apple’s powerful A19 Pro chip — the very same chip inside the iPhone 17 Pro, minus one GPU core — and 12GB of RAM. It also carries over the Camera Control button that Apple introduced with the iPhone 16 lineup, a physical hardware button on the side of the device that lets you tap, swipe, and long-press to manage the camera in creative ways. The whole package weighs just 165 grams, which, if you’ve ever picked one up, genuinely feels like holding a feather compared to most smartphones today.

Here’s the thing about a phone as thin and sleek as the iPhone Air — it almost demands a case that respects its design rather than one that buries it. And that’s exactly where the Maledan case makes a compelling case for itself (no pun intended). The translucent white back lets the phone’s clean aesthetic shine through while adding a layer of grip and protection that bare glass simply cannot offer. Maledan calls it a “StainGuard” finish in the clean white colorway, and based on the design language here, it’s clearly aimed at buyers who want to show off their phone while keeping it safe.

The case is rated for military-grade shockproofing, which is a standard more and more third-party case makers are targeting as a baseline, and it’s specifically designed with a covered Camera Control cutout — meaning the button remains fully functional while still being shielded from incidental knocks. That’s actually a detail worth paying attention to, because not every case maker has fully caught up with the Camera Control design, and a poorly fitting case can interfere with the button’s sensitivity or render it outright unusable. Getting the Camera Control experience right on a case requires thoughtful engineering — the button relies on capacitive touch inputs in addition to physical presses, so the material covering it matters.

The case is also built with MagSafe compatibility in mind, which is essentially table stakes for any iPhone Air case worth considering. Apple’s MagSafe ecosystem has grown into something quite substantial since it was reintroduced with the iPhone 12, and the iPhone Air leans into it heavily. The correctly aligned magnets inside a MagSafe-compatible case create that satisfying “snap” when attaching to a charger or any MagSafe accessory, and they allow for up to 15W wireless charging without needing to remove the case at all. Cases with misaligned or weak magnets — a common issue with cheaper options — tend to cause the charger to slide off, especially overnight, which is exactly the kind of frustration a $9.99 deal can sometimes introduce. Based on the product listing and its 4.5-star rating across 134 reviews on Amazon, this one seems to avoid that pitfall.

Speaking of which, 134 reviews at a 4.5-star average is a respectable track record. Maledan isn’t a household name in the same way Spigen or OtterBox are, but the brand has been making budget-friendly Apple device cases for several years now, with Amazon shoppers noting the quality feels solid and the fit is precise — useful feedback for a case targeting such a uniquely slim device. For a case that costs less than a large pizza, the expectations are calibrated accordingly, but what you’re getting here is grip, shockproofing, Camera Control access, and MagSafe functionality — all the functional boxes checked.

For context on what you’d otherwise be spending: Apple’s own official iPhone Air Case with MagSafe — which has a 0.9mm polycarbonate back panel and a sapphire crystal layer over the Camera Control area — retails at a significantly higher price point through Apple’s own channels. That’s not a knock on Apple’s product, which is genuinely refined, but it does illustrate just how steep the value gap can get when a solid third-party option is sitting at $9.99 during a flash deal.

The deal is tagged as a “Limited Time” offer on Amazon, which means the clock is ticking and the price is not guaranteed to hold. If you’ve been using your iPhone Air without a case — or worse, with a case that doesn’t actually support Camera Control properly — now is a perfectly reasonable time to fix that situation for under ten dollars. It’s available in multiple color options, with the B-White StainGuard translucent being the highlighted colorway, and free returns are included if, for any reason, it doesn’t work out.

At $9.99, the Maledan Anti-Slip iPhone Air Case is the kind of deal that’s easy to recommend without overthinking it. It’s not asking you to take a leap of faith on a hundred-dollar purchase — it’s a slim, functional, MagSafe-ready case for Apple’s most remarkable iPhone design in years, at a price that’s genuinely hard to beat right now.
