If you’ve been waiting for a discount on one of LEGO’s newest sci-fi display sets, Prime Big Deal Days has delivered a solid one. Amazon has dropped the LEGO Icons Project Hail Mary (11389) to $69.99, down from its $99.99 list price, saving buyers 30% ($30).

The discounted price is exclusive to Amazon Prime members, making it one of the more notable LEGO deals available during the sale.

Inspired by Andy Weir’s Project Hail Mary, the 830-piece LEGO Icons set recreates the spacecraft from the bestselling science fiction novel. Designed for builders aged 18 and up, it’s intended primarily as a display model rather than a play set, complete with a black display stand and information plaque.

The build also includes a minifigure representing protagonist Ryland Grace, along with a small Rocky figure, giving fans of the novel a couple of recognizable characters to display alongside the spacecraft.

Unlike many LEGO space-themed models that focus on Star Wars or NASA-inspired vehicles, Project Hail Mary targets readers and science fiction enthusiasts looking for something a little different. The finished model features adjustable solar panels and detailed engine sections, making it an attractive desk or bookshelf centerpiece.

At $69.99, this is a compelling price for a recently released LEGO Icons set. While older LEGO models occasionally see steeper discounts, 30% off a current licensed Icons release is a meaningful reduction, especially for collectors who were planning to pick it up anyway.

As with many Prime Big Deal Days offers, the advertised price requires an active Amazon Prime membership. Non-members will see the regular $99.99 price unless they join Prime.
