The latest release of the WhatsApp Business beta app allows business users to rename linked devices to a business account that uses the latest beta of WhatsApp Business ver.2.22.13.7 for Android & 22.12.0.73 for iOS.

According to the WABetaInfo blog, this feature is part of the WhatsApp Premium subscription, which is an optional subscription plan that let business accounts use additional features. However, after investigating, this is a free feature for WhatsApp business accounts, which means they need a WhatsApp Premium subscription to use this feature.

This rollout of rename-linked devices features allows businesses to link and name up to 10 devices as well as they can also create a personal custom business link.

Business accounts can rename their devices by simply going into Settings > Linked Devices > Device > Name.

According to WABetaInfo, when you use a custom name for a linked device, it will become private which means your customers won’t be able to see it.
