Microsoft’s Black Friday sale is up and they are now offering $200 off on Surface Laptop Go which is now available for $699.99 down from $899.99 and comes with 10th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD storage, and color choose from Platinum, Ice Blue, and Sandstone.

There is also a 128GB SSD storage model available which is now $150 off and offers the same specs (except storage) and color options and is available for just $549.99 down from $699.99. Surface Laptop Go shipped with Windows 10 Home in S Mode (now available with Windows 11 Home in S Mode, if not just make sure you have updated your Surface Laptop Go after the device arrives at your home).

Additionally, you can add a Microsoft Office 365 Family plan for 15 months subscription with up to 6 people sharing and 6TB of cloud storage (1TB per person) which is now available at a discount of $30 and cost $69.99 down from $99.99 (the discount only valid when you buy Surface Laptop Go whether it is 128GB or 256GB model and add Microsoft Office 365 Family plan).

You can add this Microsoft Office 365 Family subscription plan as a bundle on the above-discounted Surface Laptop Go which is now $150 off for the 128GB model and $200 off on the 256GB model. Well, Microsoft Office 365 Family subscription for 15 months is optional, if you don’t want to spend $69.99 choose the None option to skip it.

The students and educators in the USA with eligible institutions can sign up for Office 365 Education for free, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and there’s more. Microsoft also added Microsoft Teams, plus additional classroom tools in this free suite for education. The student and educators only need is to get valid email addresses from their qualified institutions.

If you already know which institutions are eligible, then you get started HERE and if you’re not sure make sure you have asked for help on Microsoft’s USA website and ask them which institutions are qualified for Office 365 Education for free in the USA, you can ask contact support directly on the same page as getting started with Office 365 Education for free which I have already added at the beginning of this paragraph.

So, who is supposed to use this Microsoft Surface Laptop Go? Students, in my view. Because it features a 12.4-inch PixelSense touchscreen display that is ideal for use on college or school desks, as compared to a bulky 15.6-inch laptop that takes up a lot of desk space. And the Surface Laptop Go offers a long-lasting battery life of up to 13 hours (with fast charging support), which is another plus point for your college or schoolwork.

Surface Laptop Go offers SSD storage that speeds up your tasks. It’s beneficial to have SSD storage on your laptop because, in the past, laptops with HDD storage took 20 seconds or more to boot up and apps take a much longer time to open (such an embarrassment in front of your schoolmates or teachers), whereas SSD storage allows your laptop to boot in just 3 seconds.

Another great feature of the Surface Laptop Go is that it has a built-in security chip that provides Enterprise-grade protection with Windows Hello one-touch sign-in and One Touch sign-in with Fingerprint Reader Power button. (Keep in mind that the Surface Laptop Go also comes in an i5/4 GB/64 GB configuration without a fingerprint power button, so keep that in mind when making your purchase.)

And another major point is that you can use day-to-day tasks like school or college projects or homework or doing amazing presentations on PowerPoint, then I recommend students to take advantage of Microsoft Office 365 Family or Office 364 Personal plan for just $99.99 and $69.99 respectively (if your institutions not eligible for Office 365 Education for free, then maybe this would be a great choice for you).

During Microsoft’s Black Friday sale you can get Microsoft Office 365 Family plan at just $69.99 ($30 discount) which normally costs $99, but you need to purchase Surface Laptop Go and add Microsoft Office 365 Family plan to the cart to get the $30 off on Microsoft Office 365 Family. If you go with straight Microsoft Office 365 Family without Surface Laptop Go then you have to pay in full which is $99.99, just reminding you.

The Office 365 Family plan comes with 6TB of cloud storage (1TB for each person) and sharing with up to 6 people. But if you looking for a lifetime license of Microsoft Office maybe you should look for Microsoft Office Home & Student 2021 which costs $149.99 one-time purchase and is applicable for one device only with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint suite.

Surface Laptop Go features

So, that’s a student discount and benefit, and now I’ll continue with the Surface Laptop Go features. The Surface Laptop Go is the best device for students, with balanced performance and offers great battery life of up to 13 hours with fast charging support and the lightest laptop with a 12.4-inch PixelSense touchscreen display, larger trackpad, and yes, a full-size keyboard with a 1.3mm key travel for an accurate and comfortable typing experience, and it comes in gorgeous color options including Ice Blue, Sandstone, and Platinum.

The Surface Laptop Go also includes a Fingerprint Power Button and Windows Hello One Touch sign-in. One-Touch sign-in allows you to access OneDrive files and storage quickly and securely. The Surface Laptop Go comes with a 10th Generation Intel Core i5 Quad-Core processor, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of SSD storage. I’ve already included the discounts for 8GB RAM, 128GB, and 256GB variants at the beginning of this post.

Your colleagues and students will be able to see and hear you clearly thanks to the built-in 720p HD camera and Studio Mics on the Surface Laptop Go. Whether you’re on a video conversation, watching a movie, or listening to music, Omnisonic Speakers and Dolby Audio surround you with incredible sound. There are USB A and USB C ports, as well as an audio jack and the Surface connector, to let you connect. And so much more features, take Black Friday discounts benefits of up to $200 off on Surface Laptop Go.
