Samsung today concluded its highly anticipated second Galaxy Unpacked event of the year. The event was brimming with exciting updates across Samsung’s array of folding phones, Galaxy smartwatches, and tablets. For those who couldn’t witness the unveiling live, we have compiled a comprehensive rundown of the most captivating announcements right here.

Galaxy Z Flip5

Months of rumors and leaks have culminated in the grand reveal of the Galaxy Z Flip5. The new iteration boasts significant improvements, most notably its expanded 3.4-inch cover display that now stretches from the device’s hinge to its dual cameras. This impressive enhancement brings functionality akin to the Moto Razr Plus, enabling Flip5’s cover screen to run full Android apps.

Furthermore, Samsung has worked diligently to make the Galaxy Z Flip5 even more user-friendly. The device now folds completely flat and comes equipped with the upgraded Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. While the inner 6.7-inch OLED panel remains unchanged, the larger cover screen offers added convenience without any increase in price. The Galaxy Z Flip5 will retain its predecessor’s price point of $999.

Galaxy Z Fold5

Accompanying the Galaxy Z Flip5, Samsung also introduced the new Galaxy Z Fold5. Although it may not boast as many dramatic changes as its counterpart, the Galaxy Z Fold5 still brings some noteworthy improvements.

Similar to the Z Flip5, the Galaxy Z Fold5 features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and an updated hinge that allows the device to fold completely flat when closed. This refinement has contributed to a slimmer design, with the device measuring 13.4mm thick when shut (down from 14.2mm). Additionally, Samsung has enhanced the brightness of the 7.6-inch inner screen, reaching an impressive 1,750 nits. The Galaxy Z Fold5 will be available for $1,799.
