Logitech is rolling out a fresh wave of iPad accessories aimed squarely at Apple’s new M4-powered iPad Air, and the message is pretty simple: the tablet is just the start, the real magic kicks in once you snap on the right gear. For students, remote workers, and casual couch scrollers alike, the company is positioning its keyboard cases and digital pencil as the missing pieces that turn the Air into a full-blown laptop alternative, sketchbook, or note-taking machine.

At the center of Logitech’s lineup for the new 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Air (M4) is Combo Touch, a keyboard case that has quietly become a go-to recommendation for people who want laptop-style usability without committing to Apple’s pricey Magic Keyboard. It wraps the iPad in a protective shell, adds a detachable backlit keyboard, and pairs it with a large multi-touch trackpad that feels closer to a modern laptop than a tablet accessory. The standout design trick is flexibility: you can pull off the keyboard when you just want to read, sketch, or game, then snap it back on instantly when it is time to answer emails or hammer out a report. Logitech also builds in a function row up top, letting you adjust brightness, control media, tweak keyboard backlighting, or trigger system features straight from the keys instead of hunting around Control Center. For anyone used to a traditional laptop, those details make the iPad Air feel less like a tablet with compromises and more like a familiar, portable computer.

Logitech clearly knows that not everyone wants to lug around a full laptop-like case all day, and that is where the Flip Folio comes in. It is a slimmer, front-and-back protective case with a detachable Bluetooth keyboard that you can position wherever it is most comfortable, then magnetically dock it back on the case when you are done. Instead of locking you into one orientation, Flip Folio supports both portrait and landscape modes, so you can prop the iPad upright for video calls, turn it vertical for long article reading, or tilt it to a lower angle for document edits or social media. The keyboard itself can pair with up to three devices, which is handy if you are juggling an iPad, a Mac, and maybe even a phone and want a single compact keyboard that switches between them with Logitech’s Easy-Switch keys. It is an accessory aimed at people who are often on the move, want protection and a keyboard, but prefer to keep the whole setup lighter and more casual than a hard-shell laptop replacement.

For the 11-inch iPad Air (M4), Logitech is also keeping Folio Touch in the mix, a more traditional all-in-one keyboard case with an integrated high-precision trackpad and an adjustable kickstand on the back. Where Combo Touch emphasizes a detachable keyboard, Folio Touch leans into the “wrap the tablet and forget about it” philosophy, turning the iPad into a compact clamshell-style device that is always ready for typing. The kickstand gives you a wide range of angles, from upright for typing and video calls to a lower, almost flat angle that is better for sketching or annotating documents with a stylus. Like Logitech’s other iPad keyboards, it offers a familiar laptop-like layout, full-size keys, and that helpful function row, which goes a long way toward making the Air feel like it can replace a smaller notebook for everyday productivity.

Of course, none of this would feel complete without a stylus, and Logitech is pushing its Crayon digital pencil as the universal companion for almost any modern iPad, including the new M4 Air models. Built with Apple Pencil technology under the hood, Crayon is designed to be pixel-precise, with support for tilt sensitivity so your lines can get thicker or thinner depending on how you angle the pen. It works across all iPads from 2018 onward, which means if you are upgrading from an older base iPad or Air, you can keep using the same stylus. In practical terms, that means students can mark up PDFs and lecture notes, designers can sketch diagrams or wireframes, and everyday users can sign documents or jot down quick notes without fighting lag or weird palm detection glitches. Logitech is framing Crayon as a tool that sits comfortably between casual and professional use: approachable for kids and first-time stylus users, but capable enough to handle serious creative and productivity tasks.

Underneath the product names and spec sheets, Logitech is really trying to sell a broader idea: that the iPad Air (M4) can be your main computer if you pair it with the right accessories. Combo Touch targets users who want a near-laptop experience with a big trackpad, function row, and protective shell that can survive backpacks and daily commutes. Flip Folio speaks more to the flexible, hybrid workflow crowd, where the iPad might be a note-taking device one minute, a media screen the next, and a remote desktop client later in the day. Folio Touch is there for those who just want a simple, integrated case that stays on all the time and turns the 11-inch Air into a compact laptop stand-in. And Crayon cuts across all of those use cases, because whether you are in education, creative work, or just someone who likes handwriting more than typing, adding a responsive pencil fundamentally changes how you interact with the screen.

Logitech also leans heavily on its broader mission statement in talking about these accessories, framing them as tools that extend “human potential in work and play” while still being mindful of how and where people actually use their devices. There is a big emphasis on mobility: working from the kitchen table, taking notes in a lecture hall, revising presentations on a flight, or sketching from a coffee shop instead of being tethered to a desk. The idea is that with the right case and keyboard, your iPad Air M4 can flex between all those roles without demanding a separate laptop or extra hardware. And when you pair that with a stylus that works across multiple iPad generations, it becomes easier for schools, families, and small teams to standardize on a single set of tools instead of buying different accessories for every device.

For anyone eyeing the new iPad Air M4, Logitech’s lineup lands at an interesting moment: Apple’s own first-party accessories are still the most polished in terms of system integration and design consistency, but they can be expensive and, in some cases, less flexible. Logitech is positioning itself as the more adaptable, value-focused alternative, with gear that supports multiple generations of iPads and a mix of Bluetooth and Smart Connector-style setups depending on how you prefer to work. If you are building out a fresh iPad Air kit this year, the company clearly wants you to see the tablet as “half the equation” and its ecosystem of keyboard cases and the Crayon as the pieces that complete the picture.
