Amazon Prime Day is almost here, bringing two days of sizzling deals on July 16th and 17th. From Apple gadgets and smartwatches to TVs and more, there’s something for everyone. But what if you want a smooth checkout experience on top of those sweet savings? This year, Amazon offers more than just debit, credit cards, and gift card options. Apple users, rejoice! You can leverage the convenience of Apple Pay for your Prime Day purchases.

Hold on a second! Does every seller accept Apple Pay?

That’s a good point. While Amazon itself supports Apple Pay, individual sellers (or vendors) on the platform might not. Availability can also vary depending on your location. But don’t worry, we’ll cover both using Apple Pay and an alternative method if your seller doesn’t accept it.

Here’s how to use Apple Pay on Amazon

  1. Set up Apple Pay: If you haven’t already, you’ll need to add your debit or credit card to your iPhone‘s digital wallet. This activates Apple Pay on your mobile device.
  2. Open the Amazon App: This is where the shopping magic happens!
  3. Fill your cart and go to checkout: Once you’ve found those amazing deals and added them to your cart, head over to checkout.
  4. Look for the Apple Pay option: Here’s the key part. If the seller accepts Apple Pay, you’ll see it displayed among the payment options. Remember, this option will only appear if you have a card linked to your iPhone’s Wallet app. Once you see the Apple Pay logo, simply select it.
  5. Confirm your details: Double-check your delivery address and ensure everything looks good.
  6. Verify with Face ID or Touch ID: Security is important! Apple Pay will prompt you to authenticate the purchase using your Face ID or Touch ID.
  7. Confirm payment: The final step! Once you’ve verified with Face ID or Touch ID, confirm the payment to finalize your purchase.

What if my seller doesn’t accept Apple Pay?

No worries, there’s a workaround! You can still use your handy Apple Card for purchases on Amazon. Here’s how:

  1. Add your Apple Card to the Wallet app: Open the Wallet app on your iPhone and tap the “+” symbol to add your Apple Card.
  2. Open the Amazon app: Time to hit that shopping list!
  3. Navigate to your account: There are four icons at the bottom of the Amazon app’s home screen. Find the “Account” icon (it looks like a person) and tap on it.
  4. Access your account details: On the new page that appears, tap on “Your Account” to view your account information.
  5. Find your payment methods: Scroll down until you see the “Payments” section. Tap on “Your Payments” to manage your payment methods.
  6. Add your Apple Card: This will display a list of your linked cards and bank accounts. Go to the “Wallet” tab and tap the “+” symbol to add a new payment method.
  7. Enter your Apple Card details: Select “Add a credit or debit card” and then enter your Apple Card information.
  8. Finalize the process: Once you’ve entered your details, tap “Add” to complete the process. Now your Apple Card is ready for use on Amazon purchases!
