Google finally unveiled the most awaited new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro and yes they finally debut their first custom-built System on a Chip (SoC) called Google Tensor SoC to the Pixel 6 series which can optimize hardware and software to Pixel 6 series. The new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will be available to customers later this fall. While the company didn’t provide any specs about the new Pixel 6 series, but it’s all about the new Tensor SoC custom processor.

The new Pixel 6 series lineup features Google’s first custom-made SoC called Google Tensor SoC powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) which may add more computing power and resources and optimize for both software and hardware.
“The team that designed our silicon wanted to make Pixel even more capable. For example, with Tensor we thought about every piece of the chip and customized it to run Google’s computational photography models. For users, this means entirely new features, plus improvements to existing ones.”
“Tensor enables us to make the Google phones we’ve always envisioned — phones that keep getting better while tapping the most powerful parts of Google, all in a highly personalized experience. And with Tensor’s new security core and Titan M2, Pixel 6 will have the most layers of hardware security in any phone.”
The new Pixel 6 uses a matte aluminum finish with color options green tints, and another black and grey model, while the Pixel 6 Pro uses a light polished aluminum frame including colors option dark black and grey tones, another with gold and cream colors, and one with more muted, white tones, and there’s a new upgraded big square camera bump on the backside with some improvements to sensors and lenses. The new Pixel 6 lineup will be coming later this fall with Android 12 and all-new Material You Design.
