Ahead of the launch, rumors are talking about the upcoming Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro getting 5 years of software updates which will be launched this year in October 2021. Also, the complete specification is revealed by Jon Prosser of the Google Pixel 6 series in his blog post.

According to the source, this significant jump from the current three years of software updates remains unclear if the newly added 2 additional years will include version updates or just security patch updates. And the other report suggests that Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will support Wi-Fi 6E, 5G, and Google’s Android Enterprise Recommended (AER) certification.
