Apple today officially announced its next event date for iPhone 14 and Apple Watch Series 8 which will be unveiled on September 7, 2022, at 10 am PT (10:30 pm IST). The iPhone 14 event will take place in person, and according to the invitation, it will feature a number of Apple executives and staff members, including Tim Cook, Greg Joswiak, Craig Federighi, and more. Apple is teasing the event with the slogan “Far out.”

According to 9to5Mac, “Apple says that the in-person component of the event will take place in Steve Jobs Theater. This is different than WWDC, which included an in-person component held inside the ring at Apple Park. It’s unclear how much of the event will be in-person versus virtual.”

How to watch Apple September 7 event

Apple fans can watch Apple September 7 event directly from anywhere through Apple’s event website, Apple’s Official YouTube Channel, the Apple TV app, and on Apple devices via the Apple TV app at 10 am PT (10:30 pm IST).

Here is what to expect at Apple September 7 event

Major announcements are expected to be announced on September 7. The iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be the most important devices.

The debut of the iPhone 14 Max will be one of the biggest changes to the iPhone 14 lineup this year. For the first time ever, Apple will sell a 6.7-inch iPhone model with “Pro” features for less than $1,000.

Meanwhile, an important architectural change is expected for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The new hole punched + pill-shaped cuts on the display will replace the notch on the devices. This will result in a small increase in screen space. The Pro variants are expected to include a major camera improvement for both the front-facing and the back cameras.

Analysts believe Apple to also reveal the Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch Pro in addition to the iPhone 14. The latter of those two, with a new robust titanium design and a larger form factor, is considered to be the biggest change.

Finally, during this event, Apple is undoubtedly going to reveal the launch dates for iOS 16, watchOS 9, and tvOS 16. While iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura are expected to be launched in October, these updates are most likely to be issued the week of September 12.

Other announcements from Apple for the remainder of the year include a new iPad 10, a new AirPods Pro, and new Macs with Apple Silicon onboard. Although it’s questionable if any of these products will debut on September 7, Apple is also expected to host a separate event in October.
