If your unread book stack has been quietly judging you from the nightstand, Audible just tossed a low-effort lifeline across the room. For a limited time, new subscribers can get three months of Audible Premium Plus for $0.99 per month — that’s $3 total to unlock the app, the catalog, and three audiobook credits you can keep forever. It’s the sort of discount that makes binge-listening while you cook, commute, or fold laundry feel like a productive life-hack.

What you actually get

Audible Premium Plus bundles two things people use differently: an on-demand streaming catalog of included titles and the monthly credit system that buys full audiobooks you own forever. During this promotion, you’ll receive the usual membership perks — access to Audible’s Plus catalog of included audiobooks, podcasts and Originals, plus one credit per month (so three credits over the three-month promo) that you can redeem for any premium selection. That purchase becomes yours to keep even if you cancel later.

Who can get it — and for how long

This is a new-subscriber-only offer (Audible limits it to accounts that aren’t already active members) and it’s not gated behind Prime — anyone who’s never been an Audible member can sign up. The promotion is live now and runs through December 16, 2025 (11:59 pm PT), so you’ve got a fixed window to claim it.

New Audible members can now get Premium Plus for under $3 total, including three audiobook credits and full access to Audible’s Plus catalog for a limited time.

The catch (the one everyone should read)

After the three promotional months end, the membership auto-renews at the regular price (currently $14.95/month). If you don’t want to keep paying, you’ll need to cancel before the trial-to-paid renewal date — Audible lets you cancel at any time from your account settings, and credits you already redeemed remain yours. The offer is limited to one per customer/account and can’t be stacked with other promotions.

Is it actually a good deal?

Short answer: yes — especially if you’re new to Audible and want to test whether audiobooks will stick as your new reading habit. Compared with the standard $14.95 monthly fee, paying $0.99 for a month is a huge discount; spread across three months, it’s still a 90%+ reduction. It’s not the rare “three months free” deal Amazon sometimes runs exclusively for Prime members, but it’s one of the better broadly available offers we’ve seen this year — and it works whether you’re a Prime subscriber or not.

How to make the most of it

  • Redeem your three credits on titles you’d actually keep — the credits buy premium audiobooks that stay in your library forever.
  • Use the Audible app’s offline downloads for commutes, flights, and long walks.
  • Explore Audible Originals and the Plus catalog: they’re included and don’t require a credit.
  • Put a calendar reminder a week before the promo ends and one before the paid renewal so you’re not surprised by the billing.
  • If you like gifting, Audible subscriptions and individual audiobooks make tidy holiday presents — timely, given the promo window.

A quick reality check

Promotions come and go: Amazon has previously run variations of this deal (some Prime-only, some free months, some steep discounts). If your goal is maximizing free listening for the year, hunting for Prime-exclusive offers or device bundles (e.g., discounted Kindle/Audible bundles around big sales) can sometimes beat the $3 total — but for most people who aren’t tied to Prime, this is a very low-risk way to experiment with audiobooks.

Final take — who should grab it

If you’re audiobook-curious and aren’t already an Audible member, it’s a no-brainer to try this. Three credits can buy you three full audiobooks to keep forever; for $3 total, that’s cheaper than many single paperback bestsellers. If you’re only going to listen sporadically, set a calendar reminder to cancel before the automatic renewal. If you already know Audible is your jam, this gives you a cheap way to stockpile a few titles before the holidays.
