Apple announced macOS Ventura, the next update of macOS, which includes various new features such as Stage Manager, Continuity Camera, updated security patches, and more.
Stage Manager is a new feature that allows you to focus on the app you’re using without being distracted by arranging all unused apps on the side, with the main and active app in the middle.

Users of macOS can use their iPhone as a webcam with new Continuity Camera features. Mac can automatically recognize and use the camera on iPhone when it’s close thanks to the Continuity feature.
When Continuity Camera is attached, it enables existing functionality such as Center Stage, Portrait mode, and more. It will also take advantage of the iPhone’s Ultra-Wide camera to enable Desk View, which will show the user’s face as well as an overhead view of their desk.

You may now use Handoff to start a FaceTime call on one Apple device and transfer it to another.

Shared Tab Groups in Safari will allow friends and family to share their favorite websites and see what tabs others are using in real-time. On a shared Start Page, the group can create a list of bookmarks and even start Messages or FaceTime calls directly from Safari.

Messages for the Mac will allow users to edit or undo a recently sent message, mark a message as unread, and recover accidentally deleted messages, similar to the iOS 16 updates.
Spotlight is also improved in macOS Ventura with Rich Results, which will be available on iOS and iPadOS and will allow users to conduct activities directly from Spotlight. Spotlight now includes new apps, like Photos and Live Text, among others.
Apple is also making massive updates to the Mac Mail app as part of macOS Ventura. Users will be able to undo a sent email a few moments after it has been sent using Undo Send. Users will now be able to schedule emails and set follow-up reminders.
iCloud Shared Photo Library allows up to six family members to build and share a photo library. Everyone in the library has the ability to add, delete, and edit photos, as well as choose which photos from their own library to share.
Apple has added “Passkeys” to Safari in order to improve security. Passkeys are unique digital keys that reside on the device and are never saved on a web server and are described as next-generation credentials that are more secure than passwords.

Users can easily create Passkeys with Touch ID or Face ID, and iCloud Keychain saves all Passkeys for end-to-end encryption across all devices.
Metal 3, is the latest version of the software that powers gaming experiences across Apple devices. When it is combined with Apple silicon chips, “even greater gaming experiences” will be offered on Macs, according to the company.
