At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2022, AMD unveiled the Ryzen 6000 family of mobile processors, which are based on the next-generation ‘Zen3+’ architecture.

The AMD Ryzen 6000 series of mobile processors will be built on their latest AMD Zen 3+ Core design and will be capable of clock speeds of up to 5 GHz, which is 1.3x faster than the earlier Ryzen 5000 series mobile processors in terms of processing.

The top Ryzen 6000 series mobile processor will have 8 Cores (16 threads) and will perform 11 percent faster single-threaded and 28 percent faster multi-threaded.

The AMD RDNA 2 architecture, which also powers AMD’s current-gen Radeon 6000 series desktop graphics cards, drives the integrated graphics on the new AMD Ryzen 6000 mobile processors.

AMD also launched the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D desktop processor, which is the company’s first Ryzen processor to feature AMD 3D V-Cache technology for enhanced gaming performance.

The Ryzen 7 5800X3D desktop processor, which is based on the “Zen 3” core architecture, is the world’s fastest gaming processor, according to AMD, delivering an average of 5% faster 1080p gameplay across select titles than the competition. Later in Spring 2022, AMD will release the Ryzen 7 5800X3D for Socket AM4.

AMD also showed off its Ryzen 7000 Series processors, which will be released in the second half of 2022 and will be built on the 5nm “Zen 4” architecture. AMD will also release the all-new AMD Socket AM5 to complement Ryzen “Zen 4” architecture CPUs.

In February 2022, top OEM partners including Asus, Dell, and HP are scheduled to release the first laptops powered by AMD Ryzen 6000 Series processors. AMD intends to have more than 200 consumer and commercial notebooks based on the 2022 Ryzen lineup available throughout the year.

The AMD Radeon RX 6850M XT, Radeon RX 6650M XT, Radeon RX 6650M, Radeon RX 6650M, Radeon RX 6500M, and Radeon RX 6300M mobile graphics have been added to the Radeon RX 6000M mobile graphics lineup to deliver epic gaming performance for next-gen premium laptops.

The AMD Radeon RX 6800S, Radeon RX 6700S, and Radeon RX 6600S are part of the new AMD Radeon RX 6000S mobile graphics lineup, which is optimized to bring power-efficient, high-performance gaming to the incredibly thin-and-light laptops that are the fastest-growing segment in the gaming laptop market.

Furthermore, AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT and Radeon RX 6400 desktop graphics cards are designed to bring outstanding 1080p gaming experiences for popular and e-sports titles.

When compared to the competition, the AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT graphics card gives up to 35 percent quicker gaming performance in 1080p resolution with high settings, while the AMD Radeon RX 6400 graphics card is designed to deliver outstanding 1080p gaming in OEM systems.

The AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT and Radeon RX 6400 graphics cards are built using 6nm process technology for great performance and power efficiency, bringing fantastic gameplay and powerful AMD Radeon features to legions of new and existing PC gamers.

The new AMD Radeon mobile graphics family is built for on-the-go high-performance gaming. The new AMD Radeon RX 6850M XT GPU sits atop the AMD Radeon RX 6000M Series product stack, delivering epic 1440p gaming performance for next-gen premium laptops. It is the fastest AMD GPU for extreme gaming laptops, with a gaming performance that is 7% faster on average than the previous top-of-the-line AMD Radeon RX 6800M mobile GPU.

The AMD Radeon RX 6000S Series mobile GPUs provide a great combination of performance and efficiency for compact form factors, allowing gaming laptops to weigh less than 4.5 pounds and be up to 20% thinner than current models.

At 100W, the high-end AMD Radeon RX 6800S GPU is expected to be the ultimate in thin-and-light 1080p gaming, giving up to 100 FPS in select titles with max settings and 10 percent better performance on average than the competition across chosen titles at 1080p.

The Alienware m17 R5 is scheduled to be available in Q2 2022, powered by up to an AMD Ryzen 6980HX APU and up to an AMD Radeon RX 6850M XT GPU, according to the company. Leading OEMs are expected to begin shipping laptops with the new AMD Radeon RX 6000M Series mobile GPUs in Q1 2022.

Beginning in Q1 2022, laptops featuring AMD Radeon RX 6000S Series mobile graphics will be available, including the ROG Zephyrus G14, the first 14-inch AMD Advantage laptop with an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS APU and an AMD Radeon RX 6800S GPU.
