Google has begun rolling out its new Gemini AI-powered video presentation tool, Google Vids, designed to make video creation accessible for workplace users with a prompt-based approach. By using Vids, users can automatically generate storyboards, scripts, and voiceovers, drawing on Google Drive files and Gemini’s AI capabilities. This allows for seamless video creation for purposes such as customer support content, training videos, meeting summaries, and corporate announcements.
Available to Google Workspace subscribers, Vids also includes a “Help me create” feature that suggests content layouts, transitions, and even background stock media. Currently, the app supports English, with more language options expected in the future. Although full access to AI features is free through 2025, Google may impose limits on features like voiceovers starting in 2026, allowing users a robust window to explore this new tool.
This rollout began on November 7, and it may take up to two weeks for eligible users to see it in their Workspace apps, with optimized performance in Chrome, Firefox, and Edge browsers.
