Home brewing is getting a technological makeover, and the iGulu F2 wants to bring the experience to your kitchen counter. The smart brewing system combines automated fermentation, app controls, AI-assisted guidance, and built-in dispensing to help users make their own beverages at home — from craft beer and cider to kombucha, mead, wine, and even sparkling coffee and tea.
Rather than focusing on beer alone, iGulu is positioning the F2 as a versatile home beverage-making system. The machine is currently being crowdfunded on Kickstarter, with discounted bundles available to early backers and deliveries estimated to begin in December 2026.
One machine for more than just beer
The iGulu F2’s biggest selling point is its versatility. Depending on the recipe and ingredients, the system is designed to support several beverage categories, including beer, fruit wine, mead, kombucha, kefir, and sparkling drinks. It can also serve as a more experimental fermentation setup for users interested in making beverages such as rice wine and sake.
That flexibility makes the F2 more interesting than a conventional countertop beer dispenser. Instead of simply keeping a keg cold and pouring drinks, it handles the fermentation process itself, allowing users to move from preparing a recipe to producing a finished beverage in the same appliance.
The machine uses iGulu’s FermControl 3.0 fermentation technology to manage key conditions throughout the brewing process. Active heating and cooling provide a reported temperature range of 2–40 degrees Celsius (35.6–104 degrees Fahrenheit), giving users greater control over the environment their beverages need to ferment.
The standard setup accommodates a 5-liter batch, with an optional expansion module increasing capacity to 10 liters. That should offer some flexibility for users who want to experiment with smaller batches before committing to larger quantities.
AI guidance meets hands-on brewing
Home brewing can be intimidating for beginners. Getting temperatures, timing, and other fermentation conditions right takes some understanding of the process, and a mistake can affect the final result.
iGulu aims to make that learning curve less steep with an AI Brewing Assistant and a simplified brewing experience. The system supports RFID-enabled recipe kits that automatically load the associated recipe and brewing parameters when scanned. This gives newcomers a more guided starting point without requiring them to configure every setting manually.
More experienced users are not locked into the company’s recipes, either. The F2 allows users to adjust parameters such as time, temperature, pressure, and oxygen, opening the door to experimentation and custom recipes. The company also supports third-party keg equipment, making the system less restrictive than a brewing appliance built around a completely closed ecosystem.
The distinction matters: the AI assistant is intended to make brewing easier, but users who prefer greater control can still work with their own ingredients and settings.
Control is also available through an iOS and Android app, while the machine’s on-device interface offers another way to interact with the system. The F2 supports both a beginner-friendly mode and a more advanced creator-oriented experience, catering to different levels of brewing knowledge.
Fresh drinks, straight from the tap
Fermentation is only part of the experience. Once a batch is ready, the iGulu F2 can keep beverages chilled and dispense them directly from its built-in tap.
The system offers a dispensing temperature range of 2–12 degrees Celsius (35.6–53.6 degrees Fahrenheit). iGulu says its cooling and storage setup can preserve freshness for up to 30 days, although the practical results will depend on the beverage and storage conditions.
The F2 also supports both CO₂ and air-pump dispensing. That gives users different options depending on what they are serving, rather than making carbon dioxide the only way to dispense a drink.
For those who prefer bottles, the system supports counter-pressure filling, which is designed to help transfer beverages into bottles while retaining carbonation. A compatible Tap-Go Bottle is included with the standard Kickstarter starter bundle, while other bundles provide additional bottles and brewing kits.
The idea is to make the journey from brewing to serving more convenient, whether users want to pour a fresh drink at home or prepare a batch for later.
Designed for repeat use
A home brewing machine needs to be manageable after the novelty wears off. Cleaning, replacement parts, and the cost of consumables can make a difference to whether an appliance remains useful over time.
iGulu says the F2’s fermenter has a wide opening for easier cleaning with ordinary household detergent. The system does not require proprietary single-use pods or capsules, and users can refill the fermenter for subsequent batches.
The company also describes the F2 as an expandable platform, with over-the-air firmware updates, replaceable parts, and an optional capacity expansion module. Its stated environmental rationale is straightforward: making beverages at home can reduce the need for individual cans and bottles and the transport involved in getting packaged drinks to consumers. The actual environmental benefit will depend on how the machine is used, including its energy consumption and the ingredients required for each batch.
Safety is another important consideration for a pressurized appliance. According to iGulu’s Kickstarter FAQ, the F2 continuously monitors pressure and incorporates a triple-protection system designed to release pressure automatically if it moves outside the safe range. The company also says every unit is pressure-tested before shipping. Prospective buyers should still review the final safety certifications and instructions applicable to their region before using the machine.
iGulu F2 price and availability
The iGulu F2 campaign launched on Kickstarter on September 22, 2026, with a funding goal of $10,000. The project has already exceeded that target, although crowdfunding does not guarantee that a product will ship on schedule or meet every advertised expectation.
At the time of writing, the available bundles include the following options:
- F2 Starter Bundle — $549: Includes the machine, one Tap-Go Bottle, one random brew kit, and a digital recipe playbook. The listed MSRP is $924.
- F2 Creator Bundle — $659: Adds two extra Tap-Go Bottles, two additional brew kits, and a Master Mode card. The listed MSRP is $1,124.
- F2 Duo Bundle — $1,088: Includes two F2 machines, two Tap-Go Bottles, two random brew kits, and a digital recipe playbook. The listed MSRP is $1,848.
These are advertised Super Early Bird prices, with availability subject to the campaign’s limited reward quantities. The campaign also lists higher-priced early-bird options. Prices and remaining rewards can change, so check the official iGulu F2 Kickstarter page for the latest offers.
The company estimates delivery in December 2026 and says the campaign ships internationally. Backers can choose between black and white finishes through a post-campaign survey. The Kickstarter-exclusive bundles also advertise a three-year warranty for the main machine, subject to the terms and component coverage specified by iGulu.
As with any crowdfunding purchase, these prices represent pledges toward a project rather than a conventional retail purchase with the same guarantees. Buyers should review the shipping terms, warranty coverage, and campaign risks before committing.
For home brewers, the iGulu F2’s appeal is its combination of fermentation control and ready-to-serve dispensing in a single appliance. Its broader beverage support could make it useful beyond the occasional homemade beer, particularly for people who enjoy experimenting with different recipes. Whether that versatility justifies the price will ultimately depend on how often owners use it and how well the finished product performs outside the campaign’s promises.
