Apple’s USB-C Magic Mouse is down to $59.99 on Amazon, saving $19 from its regular $79 price. While it isn’t the lowest price ever for Apple’s iconic mouse, it’s still a solid discount if you’ve been waiting to pick one up—especially during Prime Big Deal Days.
The Magic Mouse remains one of Apple‘s most recognizable accessories, featuring a sleek aluminum body and a touch-sensitive Multi-Touch surface that supports gestures like swiping between web pages and scrolling through documents. It pairs seamlessly with Macs and offers excellent battery life between charges.
Then there’s that charging port.
Apple continues to place the USB-C port on the underside of the Magic Mouse. That means when the battery eventually runs low, you can’t plug it in and keep using it at the same time. Instead, you’ll have to flip the mouse over like a stranded turtle until it gets enough power to continue.

To be fair, Apple says a quick charge provides hours of use, so it’s rarely something you’ll deal with daily. Still, years after the original Lightning version sparked endless memes, the USB-C refresh keeps the exact same design decision alive.
If you’re already invested in Apple’s ecosystem and don’t mind the occasional upside-down charging break, $59.99 is a reasonable time to buy. But if the bottom-mounted charging port has always bothered you, this discount probably won’t change your mind.
Should you buy it?
The Magic Mouse is best suited for Mac users who appreciate Apple’s gesture controls and minimalist design. However, buyers who prioritize ergonomics or the ability to charge while working may be happier with alternatives like Logitech’s MX Master series.
The current $59.99 price makes it easier to overlook the charging quirk—but it certainly doesn’t fix it.
