T-Mobile is wasting no time getting Apple’s latest iPhones into customers’ hands. The carrier has announced its launch plans for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, alongside a set of aggressive trade-in promotions that can effectively make the new iPhone 18 Pro free for qualifying customers.
The offers arrive as Apple begins rolling out its latest flagship iPhones, which start at $1,199 for the iPhone 18 Pro and $1,299 for the iPhone 18 Pro Max. T-Mobile’s biggest promotion covers up to $1,200 of the purchase price, putting the carrier in direct competition with Verizon and AT&T for customers looking to upgrade.
T-Mobile iPhone 18 Pro launch details
T-Mobile opened preorders for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max on Saturday, September 12, with both phones scheduled to become available on Friday, September 18. The carrier is offering the new iPhones to both new and existing customers, with discounts tied to eligible trade-ins, plan tiers and line changes.
T-Mobile is also preparing to carry Apple’s other new products. AirPods 5 and the latest Apple Watch models are available alongside the iPhone 18 Pro lineup, while the foldable iPhone Duo will follow a little later. iPhone Duo preorders begin October 16, with availability scheduled for October 23.
That staggered launch is worth noting because the iPhone Duo is Apple’s first foldable iPhone, but T-Mobile has not yet announced the same detailed promotional structure for it.
iPhone 18 Pro is available free with the right trade-in
The headline T-Mobile offer is straightforward: customers can get up to $1,200 off any iPhone 18 Pro model, potentially making the $1,199.99 iPhone 18 Pro 256GB effectively free.
To qualify for the maximum discount, customers need to trade in an eligible device in any condition or switch a line to T-Mobile while subscribing to Experience Beyond 2.0, Experience Beyond or Go5G Next.
The carrier has also introduced several lower-tier options for customers who don’t qualify for the maximum promotion.
Customers on Experience More 2.0, Experience More or Go5G Plus can receive up to $930 off an iPhone 18 Pro when trading in an eligible device or switching a line. T-Mobile says that promotion can also include an iPhone 17 on Us.
Another offer provides up to $730 off any iPhone 18 Pro when customers switch a line to Essentials 2.0, or when they add a line and trade in an eligible device on plans including Essentials, Go5G and Magenta.
For customers on Essentials 2.0 or Essentials, an eligible trade-in can provide up to $300 off.
The discounts are delivered through monthly bill credits, with the standard consumer offers available over up to 36 months. That means customers should pay close attention to the financing terms before treating the headline discount as an immediate price reduction. Leaving T-Mobile or paying off the device early can affect the remaining promotional credits.

T-Mobile introduces EIP Flex 36
Alongside the trade-in promotions, T-Mobile is pushing its new EIP Flex 36 financing option.
The program allows eligible customers to finance the iPhone, including taxes and fees, over 36 months. For well-qualified customers, T-Mobile says this can result in $0 due at checkout.
That’s particularly useful for the iPhone 18 Pro lineup because Apple has raised the starting prices of its Pro models this year. The iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at $1,299.
The combination of long-term financing and carrier credits therefore gives customers a way to avoid paying the full upfront cost, although the promotional savings depend heavily on the plan and trade-in requirements.
T-Mobile also highlights iPhone Handoff
The new iPhone lineup isn’t the only reason T-Mobile is pushing its Apple partnership.
The carrier says it is among the first to support Apple’s new iPhone Handoff feature. The feature allows customers with two compatible iPhones to use the same T-Mobile number across both devices and choose which phone is active.
T-Mobile says calls, texts, data, mobile hotspot, Scam Shield and T-Satellite can work across the secondary iPhone on eligible plans. The company is charging $5 per month for the feature.
That could make the feature particularly interesting for customers who plan to keep an older iPhone alongside a new iPhone 18 Pro rather than immediately trading the old phone in.
Apple Watch deals are part of the launch
T-Mobile is also offering promotions for Apple’s latest watches.
Customers can get an Apple Watch Series 12 or Apple Watch Ultra 4 and receive up to $300 off a second eligible Apple Watch when they add a new watch line on Watch Plan 2.0.
T-Mobile is also offering six months of 20% off its Protection 360 device protection program when customers add the service to an eligible Apple device purchased through T-Mobile.com or the T-Life app. The promotion is available through September 24, 2026, subject to its terms and exclusions.

Metro by T-Mobile customers get smaller discounts
T-Mobile’s prepaid brand is getting its own Apple promotions, although the discounts are less aggressive than the flagship T-Mobile offers.
Metro by T-Mobile customers can get $300 off any iPhone 18 Pro model, including the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, when they bring their number and sign up for the $50 plan with AutoPay.
Metro customers can also save $100 on the Apple Watch Series 12 or $140 on the Apple Watch Ultra 4.
T-Mobile is making a big bet on trade-ins
The iPhone 18 Pro launch highlights just how important carrier promotions have become as flagship smartphone prices continue to climb.
Apple’s new Pro models are more expensive than their predecessors, but T-Mobile’s headline $1,200 promotion essentially neutralizes that increase for customers who qualify for the highest-tier offer. The catch is that the biggest savings require the right plan and an eligible trade-in or line switch.
For existing T-Mobile customers already on Experience Beyond 2.0, Experience Beyond or Go5G Next, the deal is particularly compelling. Customers on lower-priced plans, meanwhile, may want to compare the cost of changing plans against the value of the additional iPhone discount.
With iPhone 18 Pro preorders already underway and the phones arriving September 18, T-Mobile is positioning its combination of trade-in credits, EIP Flex 36 financing and iPhone Handoff as a major reason for Apple customers to choose the carrier this year.
