On Friday, Twitter announced that it is testing a new “CC” button that allows users to turn captions on and off in videos that have them. The feature is currently being rolled out to some iOS users and will be coming to Android “soon,” according to the company.
The button shows in the upper-right corner of a video attached to a tweet, as demonstrated in a video tweeted by Twitter’s Support account.
Twitter announced earlier this month that its ALT badge and better picture descriptions are now available globally, allowing all users to see alt text descriptions more clearly. The company also announced that it is working on a long-awaited feature to edit tweets, which will be available to paying Twitter Blue subscribers first.
