Twitter Introduces Tip Jar, A New Way to Send Tips

Twitter announced a new feature to user profiles called “Tip Jar” on iOS and Android a new way to support or give tips to your favorite creators, journalists, experts, and nonprofits. There will be more categories will available soon. Twitter currently tested the Tip Jar feature on a limited number of people or groups around the world, and it will be available anytime to everyone for those who set up the English language in their Twitter accounts, but it will also add more languages later.

To enable Tip Jar to your Twitter profile, first, open your profile and tap the “Edit profile” button from your profile, then you will see Tip Jar at the bottom, just tap on it and enable Allow tips, and then select the payment profile which is you receive tips from your followers, this includes payment profiles PayPal, Bandcamp, Cash App, Patreon, Venmo.

After you enable Tip Jar to your Twitter profile, your followers will see the Tip Jar icon next to the Follow button, once they tap on it they will see the list of payment options available to pay.
