Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event in New York City on July 9, 2025, saw the official debut of the Galaxy Z Flip7 alongside its larger sibling, the Z Fold7. Building on the legacy of Samsung’s clamshell design, the Z Flip7 brings a series of meaningful upgrades—from a much larger cover display to first‑ever built‑in AI features on that outer screen. And while these foldables carry flagship price tags (the Flip7 starts at $1,099.99), carriers are already rolling out jaw‑dropping promotions. One of the standouts? A BOGO (Buy One, Get One) offer on Verizon’s Unlimited Ultimate and Unlimited Plus plans that effectively nets you two Z Flip7s for the price of one.

Verizon’s deal is straightforward on paper: purchase a Galaxy Z Flip7 (256GB) or the Z Fold7 on its Unlimited Ultimate (or postpaid Unlimited Plus) plan and you’ll receive a second Z Flip7 (256GB) free over 36 months via monthly bill credits. To qualify, you must add a brand‑new smartphone line for the second device—existing lines can’t be repurposed—and maintain both lines on the required plan with Auto Pay for 36 consecutive months. If at any point you cancel or change eligibility, the promo credits will stop. Like most carrier promotions, this offer can’t be stacked with other Verizon deals.

You can now get two Galaxy Z Flip7 phones for the price of one through Verizon’s buy-one-get-one offer with a new line activation.

Before you mark your calendar, it’s worth asking: is that “free” Flip really free? You’ll pay the standard monthly payment for the first Z Flip7—$30.55/mo over 36 months ($80/mo plan requirement plus taxes/fees on a minimum $80 plan)—and you’ll also pay $30.55/mo (device payment) plus the plan cost for the second line. Verizon then applies a $30.55 monthly credit to your second line, zeroing out that device payment. So, mathematically, you’re covering the full plan cost for two lines (about $160/mo + taxes/fees) and receiving full forgiveness of the $1,100 device balance on the BOGO unit. It’s a win for families or couples looking to equip two people with the latest foldable hardware, but less appealing if you only need one extra line.

Samsung didn’t just tinker with the internals—they essentially reimagined the cover screen. The FlexWindow on the Z Flip7 has expanded to 4.1 inches (vs 3.4″ on the Z Flip6), thanks to thinner 1.5mm bezels that almost vanish when active. Once unfolded, the main 6.9 inch AMOLED display (120Hz) offers a slight bump over last year’s 6.7″ panel, translating to richer media playback and breezier web browsing. These enhancements are the largest display jumps the Z Flip line has seen in years.

Perhaps the most buzz‑worthy feature is Galaxy AI on the FlexWindow. Thanks to deep integration with Google’s Gemini Live, you can fire off multimodal queries (text, voice, and even camera‑powered requests) without opening the phone. Need quick styling tips from your closet? Flip it open halfway, point the camera, and ask Gemini to identify outfit pairings. Or set up a DIY project tutorial while keeping an eye on your hands‑on work. These AI smarts are free through the end of 2025 and only require a Samsung account login—no subscription needed.

The Z Flip7 packs Exynos 2500 alongside 8GB of RAM, ensuring flagship‑level responsiveness. Dual rear cameras (50MP main + 12MP ultrawide) and a 10MP selfie shooter round out a versatile imaging suite. Power comes from a 4,300mAh cell with 25W fast charge support—enough to last a full day of mixed AI, social media, and video calls. Samsung has steadily improved its Exynos series, leaning on AI optimizations to level the playing field.

Pre‑orders kicked off immediately after Unpacked. The Z Flip7 is offered in Blue Shadow, Coral Red, and Jet Black, starting at $1,099.99 outright or $30.55/mo for 36 months through Verizon Device Payment. The Z Flip7 FE (Fan Edition) starts at $899.99 and shares many core traits at a lower price point. Both devices ship alongside the Z Fold7 (starting at $1,899.99) and the Galaxy Watch 8 series, which themselves have bundled watch‑and‑phone promos. If you’re eyeing the BOGO for the Flip7, you’ll need to commit by the official launch date (July 25) and meet Verizon’s trade‑in or activation requirements.
