DJI is heading to IFA 2026 with three very different products: the Osmo 360 II camera, the ROMO 2 robot-cleaning system, and a new power ecosystem aimed at portable and home energy use. The company will show them publicly in Berlin from September 4 through September 8, underscoring just how far its ambitions now reach beyond the drones that made its name.
IFA has always been a show where consumer-tech companies try to make a case for the future of the connected home, personal electronics, and everyday gadgets. DJI’s plans for this year fit neatly into that picture, but they also feel like a useful reminder that the Shenzhen-based company no longer wants to be viewed only through the lens of camera drones.
The headline device is the DJI Osmo 360 II, described as the company’s flagship 360-degree camera. DJI says it can capture panoramic footage at up to 8K resolution and 60 frames per second, a specification that puts it squarely in the conversation for creators who want immersive video without sacrificing smooth motion or sharpness.
That matters because 360-degree cameras are no longer used only by adventure sports enthusiasts attaching tiny cameras to helmets. They have become practical tools for travel creators, real-estate walkthroughs, event coverage, virtual-tour production, and creators who want to reframe a scene after shooting it. Capture everything around the camera first, then decide later where the audience should look – that is still the central appeal of the format.
DJI has spent more than a decade building experience in handheld imaging, stabilizers, action cameras, drones, and compact creator gear. The Osmo 360 II looks like the next extension of that playbook: take a specialized camera category and make it feel more polished, simpler to use, and closely tied to a larger ecosystem of accessories and editing workflows. DJI has not yet shared a full specification sheet, price, or release date in its IFA announcement, so the company’s Berlin showcase will be where the finer details become more important.
Then there is the ROMO 2, which points to a much different part of DJI’s business. DJI says the new product is intended to improve intelligent home cleaning, suggesting a continuation of its move into robotic vacuums and home robotics.
At first glance, robot vacuums might seem unrelated to drones or creator cameras. In reality, the technical overlap is easy to see. Both depend on sensors, mapping, obstacle recognition, motion planning, battery management, and software that can make sense of a changing physical environment. DJI has built its reputation around machines that need to understand where they are and respond in real time, whether that machine is flying over a hillside or navigating around furniture, cables, and pet bowls.
The opportunity is also obvious. The smart-home category gives DJI a way to bring its hardware and automation expertise into a product people may use every day, not just on weekends, vacations, or professional shoots. The key question will be whether ROMO 2 arrives with the reliability buyers now expect in premium robot-cleaning gear – especially around navigation, self-maintenance, edge cleaning, and avoiding the usual household clutter that can defeat less capable machines.
The third part of DJI’s IFA announcement may be the broadest: a new power ecosystem covering portable and home energy solutions. DJI already sells power stations under its DJI Power range, and its Berlin booth will include products such as the Power 1000 Mini, Power 1000 V2, Power 2000, Power Expansion Battery 2000, and a new balcony solar system.
That category makes a lot of sense for a company deeply familiar with high-performance batteries. Drone users, filmmakers, campers, off-grid workers, and creators on location all have the same basic problem: plenty of devices, limited outlets, and no patience for unreliable power. A portable power station can keep cameras, laptops, lights, phones, and other equipment running, while home-oriented battery and solar products speak to a growing interest in backup power and lowering dependence on the grid.
For U.S. buyers, the eventual availability details will matter as much as the hardware itself. Power products are heavily shaped by local electrical standards, solar regulations, certification requirements, and retail distribution. DJI’s IFA announcement is focused on European debuts, so it should not be read as confirmation of U.S. launch timing or pricing. Still, showing a broader power strategy on one of consumer tech’s biggest stages suggests DJI sees energy as a long-term product category rather than a side project.
DJI will also use IFA to spotlight recent additions to its creator lineup. The Osmo Pocket 4P is expected to be part of the display, featuring a dual-lens setup with a 1-inch wide-angle sensor, a 60mm medium-telephoto lens, 3-axis stabilization, and support for up to 4K/240fps slow motion, according to DJI. The company will also showcase the Mic Mini 2S, a compact wireless microphone with up to 28 hours of internal recording, 32-bit float audio recording, AI noise cancellation, and support for up to four transmitters connected to one receiver.
That broader lineup helps explain the logic behind DJI’s IFA presence. It is not simply launching three products that happen to share a booth. It is presenting a lifestyle-tech portfolio built around three modern needs: capturing experiences, automating everyday chores, and keeping an increasingly device-heavy life powered up.
Visitors at Messe Berlin will be able to find DJI in Hall 20-129, where the company is also planning drone and handheld workshops on September 5 and 6. The real test, however, will come after the show floor: full specifications, price tags, regional availability, and whether the Osmo 360 II, ROMO 2, and expanded power lineup can stand out in categories that are getting more crowded every year.
