The Swiss accessory maker is back on Kickstarter with a 240W cable system, which it claims is the last one you’ll ever need. And they have a wild, scissor-based warranty to prove it.

Let’s be honest: we all have “the drawer.” It’s that messy tangle of wires in your home or office—a graveyard of frayed lightning cables, long-forgotten micro-USB connectors, and proprietary chargers for devices you don’t even own anymore. Every cable promises convenience, but most end up as electronic waste.

It’s a cycle of buying, breaking, and discarding that Swiss tech accessory brand Rolling Square wants to end for good.

A decade ago, the company’s founders, the Ferraris brothers, launched their first product on this very premise. The original inCharge was a tiny keyring cable born from a simple mission: never run out of power again. That concept resonated, ultimately raising a staggering $4.3 million through crowdfunding.

Now, after ten years of refining their design, Rolling Square has returned to Kickstarter with the inCharge Life, a modular cable system that isn’t just an upgrade—it’s a complete rethink of what a cable should be. And it’s built around two headline-grabbing promises: massive 240-watt power delivery and a lifetime warranty that actively encourages you to destroy a broken cable.

First, let’s talk about the power. The inCharge Life system supports 240W fast charging.

That’s not a typo. This spec is part of the new USB-C Power Delivery (PD) 3.1 standard, specifically the “Extended Power Range” (EPR). While your smartphone might top out at 30W or 60W, this 240W capability pushes the humble USB-C cable into entirely new territory. It’s enough to power the most demanding devices, including high-performance gaming laptops, 4K monitors, and docking stations—hardware that, until now, has been chained to bulky, proprietary power bricks.

Alongside that massive power channel, the cables also support data transfer speeds of 10Gbps, making them fast enough for moving large video files or running external SSDs.

This combination of power and data aims to deliver on the original promise of USB-C: one single cable ecosystem for every device you own. The system is designed to be modular, connecting laptops, phones, tablets, cameras, and power banks. It even supports Phone-to-Phone (OTG) charging, meaning you can use your laptop or tablet to top off a friend’s phone in an emergency.

While the 240W spec is impressive, it’s the warranty that truly sets the inCharge Life apart. Rolling Square calls it the “Lifetime Right to Charging Power,” and it’s a radical departure from the usual return-in-the-original-box-with-a-receipt hassle.

Here’s how it works: If your cable ever fails, you don’t mail it back.

Instead, you take a short video of yourself cutting the cable in half. Then, you simply email that video, your original order number, and your address to the Rolling Square support team. That’s it. No paperwork, no return labels, no shipping waste. A brand-new replacement cable is then shipped directly to you.

The company claims this isn’t just a marketing perk but a core part of its “commitment to reliability, longevity, and circular design.” By eliminating the need to ship a broken product back, they cut down on logistics, emissions, and user frustration. It’s a supremely confident move—one that suggests they really don’t expect these cables to break in the first place.

To back up that “cut it in half” promise, the cables appear to be engineered for war. Rolling Square says it spent a decade experimenting with materials and industrial design to find a build that would last.

The anatomy of an inCharge Life cable includes:

  • Metal housings: The connector housings are made from a diecast zinc-aluminum alloy, providing serious structural integrity.
  • Custom strain-relief: A custom-molded, flexible strain-relief is designed to prevent the cable from fraying or snapping at its weakest point—the joint between the cable and the connector.
  • Graphene layer: An internal graphene layer provides stability and tensile strength, protecting the wires inside from being stretched or snapped.
  • Internal wires: The cables use oxygen-free copper wires jacketed in a soft, crack-resistant silicone.
  • External braid: A final braided nylon sleeve resists abrasion and stops the cable from fraying in your backpack.

The design also includes thoughtful touches, like precision-molded curves for easy fingertip alignment and “case-friendly spacers” that ensure the connector can plug in securely even if you use a chunky protective phone case. A small status LED is also included to confirm that power is flowing.

The modularity is another key feature. The cables can be joined or extended with minimal power drop. Rolling Square makes the bold claim that performance remains stable even at lengths of up to 30 meters (or 100 feet), though the 2-in-1 dual-charging model is limited to 100W.

For anyone who depends on their technology—travelers, content creators, students, or just everyday users tired of cable clutter—the inCharge Life system is a compelling proposition. It’s an attempt to create a single, durable, high-performance ecosystem that adapts to any setup, from your desk to your car.

The Rolling Square inCharge Life range officially launched on Kickstarter on November 4, 2025. Following the campaign, the cables are expected to be available directly from Rolling Square’s website and its official Amazon stores.
