Google is rolling out new features for its Pixel phones and Pixel Watch. This latest Feature Drop includes several updates that are sure to delight tech enthusiasts and photography buffs alike. The most exciting update is the faster Night Sight feature, which allows users to take better low-light photos on the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.

According to Google, the speed boost is due to new and improved algorithms on the Tensor chip inside the phones. This means that users can capture stunning nighttime shots with less waiting time between each shot. This feature is sure to be a hit with photographers who need to capture stunning shots in low-light environments.

Another highly anticipated feature included in this update is the broader availability of the Magic Eraser. This feature, which was initially exclusive to the Pixel 6, allows users to remove unwanted objects or people from photos and replace them with a seamless background. This tool has been highly marketed by Google, and its broader availability on all Pixel phones is sure to be a welcome addition for many users.

Google is also pre-installing its Health Connect app on Pixels. This app is designed to act as a hub for storing health and fitness data from various apps, making it easier for users to keep track of their wellness. In addition, Direct My Call+ is now available on the Pixel 4a and older models. This feature lets users see businesses’ call menu trees before they’re spoken, saving them time and frustration when dialing customer service.

Finally, Google reiterated its addition of Fall Detection on the Pixel Watch, which began rolling out last month. This feature, similar to the Apple Watch feature of the same name, can detect a hard fall and call emergency services if the user is unresponsive. It will also play an automated message to the dispatcher or let the user speak to them live.
