Apple gives a caution to iPhone owners regarding one of its newest features in iOS 16, which has everyone is using it. Even the most affordable Android phones provide a battery indicator and a keyboard with haptic feedback, which Apple added to the iPhone with iOS 16.
When texting on iPhones, the keyboard haptics significantly improves the experience, and so far, this has made our lives simpler. However, Apple gives a warning regarding such a risk.
Apple recently stated that the keyboard haptics feature may lower the battery life of your iPhone in one of their support docs for iOS 16. According to Apple, “Turning on keyboard haptics might affect the battery life of your iPhone.”
The vibration motor has to work harder to generate keystrokes in keyboard haptics, which is why they are known to consume battery life more quickly. Therefore, having the keyboard haptics turn on can consume the battery if you text a lot. However, the rate of the drain shouldn’t be high.
So, if you enjoy the haptic feedback on your iPhone keyboard, ignore your worries about battery life and continue using it as you want. The larger iPhone models, in particular, have excellent battery life.
The iPhone 13 made it through a full day with ease, but the iPhone 13 Pro Max from a year provides better battery life. Although it still has difficulty lasting more than a day, the battery life of the iPhone SE 3rd Gen improved as well.
