Breathing clean air has become a top priority for many people, especially in cities where pollution levels are high. The good news is that Dyson finally launched its first wearable technology, the Dyson Zone headphones, in the US market. This innovation is a significant addition to the company’s product line, and it’s creating quite a buzz.

Updated April 28th, 2023, 5:12 p.m. UTC: Dyson Zone headphones are also available in Hong Kong and China, and will be soon arriving in Singapore, Great Britain, and Europe.

The Dyson Zone headphones have a unique feature that sets them apart from traditional headphones: a detachable visor that covers the mouth and provides clean air. The visor uses an electrostatic filter that can remove up to 99% of pollutants like nitrogen dioxide and ozone. The ear cups of the headphones draw in air, which then gets filtered, and two streams of purified air flow into the mouth and nose. The airspeed can be adjusted with a button on the left ear cup. However, it’s important to note that the Dyson Zone headphones do not provide protection against COVID-19.

One of the most impressive features of the Dyson Zone headphones is their battery life. They last up to 50 hours with noise-canceling options like “isolation” or “transparency.” The MyDyson app allows users to control the airflow speed and noise-canceling options. Additionally, the app informs users about the amount of nitrogen dioxide in the air, enabling them to monitor the pollution levels in their environment.

Comfort is another essential factor in choosing headphones, and the Dyson Zone headphones do not disappoint. They are surprisingly comfortable, despite the added visor, which takes some time to snap in place properly. The purified air feels like personal air conditioning, making it a perfect companion for outdoor activities or long flights. However, the visor may draw some attention, making it less ideal for public use.

The Dyson Zone headphones come with a USB-C charging cable, a visor cleaning brush and sleeve, and one filter. They are available in Prussian Blue/Bright Copper or Ultra Blue/Prussian Blue. The Prussian Blue/Bright Copper model is available on Dyson Direct and comes with two filters, an explorer case, an in-flight adaptor kit, and a soft pouch. These unique headphones come with a hefty price tag, Ultra Blue/Prussian Blue for $949.99 and Prussian Blue/Bright Copper for $999.99. However, the investment might be worth it for those who prioritize clean air and want to experience the latest wearable technology firsthand.
