Apple has unveiled its highly anticipated M4 series, featuring a refreshed MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac mini that boast more powerful processors, increased RAM, and new configurations. The highlight? All models come with Apple’s new “Apple Intelligence” integration and macOS Sequoia 18.1 for an enhanced AI-driven user experience.

For the 2024 lineup, Apple’s entry-level M4 MacBook Pro starts at $1,599, and the enhanced M4 Pro and M4 Max models begin at $1,999 and $2,499, respectively. Additionally, Apple’s iconic 24-inch iMac with the M4 chip will start at $1,299, while the compact M4 Mac mini begins at $599. Preorders are now live, with official shipping on November 8th.

Here’s where to place your orders and what each device brings to the table.

Where to preorder M4 MacBook Pro

The entry-level 14-inch M4 MacBook Pro is a powerful upgrade, priced at $1,599 and coming with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. For the first time, Apple’s base MacBook Pro model includes an additional USB-C/Thunderbolt 4 port, and it’s available in a new Space Black color option. The device is ready for preorder directly from Apple or other retailers like Amazon and Best Buy. Upgrades include:

  • Storage: Expandable to 1TB for an additional $200 or 2TB for $400.
  • RAM: Upgrade to 24GB for $200 or 32GB for $400.
  • Nano-texture display: Add this option for reduced screen reflectivity for an extra $150.

The M4 Pro models offer greater customization with either 14-inch or 16-inch display options. A 14-inch model starts at $1,999 with a 12-core CPU and 16-core GPU, 24GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. If you’re looking for even more power, an M4 Max model starts at $3,499 for a 16-inch version with a 14-core CPU, 32-core GPU, and 1TB SSD.

With higher RAM configurations (up to 128GB for an additional $1,000) and storage options reaching up to 8TB, the M4 Pro models are designed for users who need a machine capable of handling more intense workflows. The nano-texture display is also available as a $150 add-on for both sizes.
