Apple is gearing up for a major product announcement that could see a lineup of new M4 Mac models and the iPad mini 7 released as early as November 1. According to Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman, Apple will likely introduce refreshed 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models featuring the M4 Pro and M4 Max chips, aimed at delivering significantly faster performance. The lower-end 14-inch MacBook Pro will come with the standard M4 chip, offering more power for everyday users, while the higher-end models target professionals who need extra muscle for tasks like video editing and 3D rendering.
But it’s not just the MacBooks getting an upgrade—desktop users are in for a treat too. Apple is reportedly refreshing the Mac mini, offering both M4 and M4 Pro options. The iMac will also finally receive an update with an M4 chip, giving Apple’s iconic all-in-one desktop a serious performance boost.
On the tablet front, the iPad mini 7 is also expected to debut, marking the first significant upgrade to the compact tablet since 2021. It will likely include Apple’s A18 chipset, providing faster processing and enhanced AI capabilities. Plus, Apple may fix the “jelly scrolling” issue that plagued some iPad mini 6 users with an improved display.
Looking into 2025, Apple has even more exciting plans, including M4-powered MacBook Air models, a new iPhone SE, and a refreshed iPad Air lineup. However, Mac power users will need to wait a bit longer for high-end desktop updates, as the Mac Studio and Mac Pro with M4 chips are expected to roll out mid to late 2025.
Apple fans can expect the official announcements by the end of October, with devices potentially hitting shelves just a few days later.
