Apple’s first foldable iPhone is getting accessories that lean into its unusual, tablet-like design.
Alongside the iPhone Duo, Apple has introduced two dedicated accessories made specifically for the foldable: the iPhone Duo Case and the iPhone Duo Folio with Kickstand. They are designed differently, but both use built-in magnets to attach to the device and support wireless charging.
The iPhone Duo Case is the simpler option. It uses a two-part design that wraps around both sides of the foldable, protecting the front and back while allowing the phone to open and close normally. Apple says the thin and lightweight case is made with a matte-coated polycarbonate material and comes in Sand and Navy Blue.

Then there is the more interesting iPhone Duo Folio with Kickstand. Rather than covering the edges of the phone, the Folio protects the back and uses Apple’s TechWoven material. Its built-in kickstand folds neatly into the case when it isn’t needed, then opens to hold the Duo at different angles.

That makes the Folio particularly suited to the Duo’s large 7.6-inch inner display. The kickstand can be used for reading, watching video or making FaceTime calls, giving the foldable a setup that feels closer to a miniature tablet than a conventional smartphone. Apple says the kickstand can remain open while the device charges, with a MagSafe charger able to attach behind it.

The Folio comes in Taupe and Navy Blue, while the standard Duo Case is available in Sand and Navy Blue. Both accessories use magnetic alignment and are compatible with MagSafe, Qi2 25W and Qi-certified chargers.
Apple is also pricing the two accessories like premium products. In the U.S., the iPhone Duo Case costs $79, while the iPhone Duo Folio with Kickstand costs $129.
The accessories are a small but telling part of Apple’s strategy for the Duo. The foldable isn’t simply being treated as another iPhone with a different hinge; Apple is building accessories around the larger screen and the different ways people can position and use it.
The iPhone Duo itself starts at $1,999 and opens into a 7.6-inch display, making the dedicated Folio with its built-in stand an especially natural companion for anyone who expects to use the device more like a pocketable tablet.
Apple says both accessories will be available to order on October 16, the same day iPhone Duo preorders begin, with the foldable arriving October 23.
