Apple is expanding Apple Creator Studio with a fresh set of creative tools and AI-powered features, bringing MotionVFX effects directly into Final Cut Pro, adding smarter music-production tools to Logic Pro, and introducing intelligent assistants across its productivity apps. Announced today, October 27, 2026, the updates aim to make video editing, music production, image creation, and everyday document work more connected.
The updates span Final Cut Pro, Motion, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, Keynote, Pages, Numbers, and Freeform, reinforcing Apple’s push to bring more creative capabilities into its growing subscription-based software bundle.
Final Cut Pro gets built-in MotionVFX tools
One of the biggest additions is the integration of MotionVFX content directly into Final Cut Pro for Mac. The collection includes thousands of creative elements, such as themed templates, animated titles, graphics, transitions, and visual effects, alongside tools for rotoscoping, tracking, and color grading.
Previously, creators looking for specialized motion graphics and effects could need additional tools or separate workflows. Bringing MotionVFX content into Final Cut Pro gives editors more options within the app they already use to assemble and finish their videos.

Apple is also expanding its Content Hub with curated stock video footage. Editors can browse video clips, photos, and backgrounds without leaving Final Cut Pro, making it easier to fill gaps in a project or add visual variety without sourcing every asset independently.

Final Cut Pro also gains tighter integration with Pixelmator Pro. Editors can open images from their video timelines in Pixelmator Pro, make changes using its image-editing tools, and send the results back to their projects without manually reimporting the files. Apple is also adding more keyframe easing options, the ability to disconnect clips from the primary storyline, and support for 23 additional transcription languages.
Motion, Apple’s companion tool for motion graphics, is receiving built-in MotionVFX plug-ins for cinematic color grading, 3D camera tracking, and one-click selection for visual effects. Users can also generate and edit images from text descriptions, exchange images with Pixelmator Pro, and use a new Displacement filter.
Meanwhile, Compressor adds support for encoding Cinematic mode video recorded on iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo.
Logic Pro adds an AI assistant and smarter music discovery
Apple is giving music creators more ways to work inside Logic Pro for Mac and iPad. The app is getting a redesigned interface featuring Apple’s Liquid Glass design, with translucent surfaces and stronger contrast intended to keep waveforms and tracks easy to distinguish.

On the Mac, a new intelligent assistant arrives in beta, powered by a combination of Apple-built models and OpenAI technology. The assistant can help users navigate production workflows, start a song, set up a vocal track from a prompt, or refine an existing project.

The update also brings a redesigned sound browser to Logic Pro for Mac, consolidating loops, instruments, effects, and other sounds into one place. Its music-understanding technology analyzes and categorizes imported audio, allowing creators to search their collections more easily or find similar sounds by dragging a loop into the browser.

Stem Splitter, which separates components of a recording, is also gaining the ability to isolate, replace, or rebalance drum parts without requiring the original multitrack recordings. That gives producers more flexibility when remixing existing music or reshaping a track.

Apple is also adding a new Producer Pack from Sergio George, the 20-time Grammy-winning producer known for his work in Latin music. The pack includes his signature piano sound, Latin jazz and salsa loops, percussion, brass, and bass sounds.
Pixelmator Pro introduces Generate Fill
Pixelmator Pro is getting a new AI-powered feature called Generate Fill. It lets users transform selected areas of an image using natural-language descriptions, offering another way to modify visuals without rebuilding an entire image from scratch.

The feature complements Apple’s broader effort to connect image editing with video production and productivity workflows. Alongside the existing ability to generate and edit images using text prompts, the new tools make Pixelmator Pro a more central part of the Creator Studio experience.
Keynote, Pages, and Numbers get intelligent assistants
Apple is extending its AI features beyond creative software and into its productivity apps. Keynote, Pages, and Numbers are gaining intelligent assistants in beta that can understand the context of a document and help users complete tasks without constantly switching between apps.
In Keynote, the assistant can help design and animate presentations. Pages users can get help drafting, restructuring, and refining written content, while Numbers can assist with calculations, data visualization, and organizing information.

Numbers can also recommend suitable chart types with a one-tap preview and create custom tables using world knowledge. These capabilities could make spreadsheet work more approachable for people who know what they want to communicate but aren’t familiar with every feature in the app.
The productivity apps are also gaining support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP), which allows compatible external AI agents and tools to interact with documents, make edits, and perform automated actions. This opens the door to workflows in which AI tools can work with presentations, documents, and spreadsheets rather than simply generating text separately.
The new assistants and MCP support come with requirements: the assistants are limited to U.S. English in beta and require an Apple Intelligence-capable device running the relevant operating system. MCP support for Keynote, Pages, and Numbers requires macOS 27 or later.

Apple is also expanding the Content Hub with curated stock video footage and adding new premium themes and templates across its productivity apps. Keynote gains support for Keynote Interchange Format (.keyx), an open, JSON-based bundle format designed to be accessible to external tools, developer workflows, and AI agents.
Freeform is receiving text styles, custom and preset board background colors, and additional image-editing capabilities. In December, users will be able to edit images directly in Pixelmator Pro and generate editable shapes from text descriptions.
Apple Creator Studio update: release date and availability
Apple says the new Creator Studio features will arrive on the App Store in November as a free update for existing subscribers. The company has not specified a single release day for the update.
Apple Creator Studio costs $12.99 per month or $129 per year in the US. New subscribers get a one-month free trial, while eligible purchases of a new Mac or qualifying iPad can include three months of access at no additional cost. College students and educators can subscribe for $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year.
The subscription is available as a universal purchase and supports Family Sharing for up to six people. Apple continues to offer one-time-purchase versions of several professional apps, including Final Cut Pro for $299.99, Logic Pro for $199.99, Pixelmator Pro for $49.99, Motion for $49.99, Compressor for $49.99, and MainStage for $29.99.
Free versions of Keynote, Pages, Numbers, and Freeform also remain available.
With MotionVFX content built into Final Cut Pro and AI features spreading across music, image editing, and productivity, Apple Creator Studio is becoming more than a bundle of creative apps. The November update puts greater emphasis on keeping work inside Apple’s software ecosystem, while MCP support gives compatible external AI tools a way to participate in some of those workflows.
