There’s a certain joy in the little design stunts that make everyday tech actually feel like something. Anker’s MagGo “UFO” 3-in-1 wireless charger is one of those — a puck that unfurls into three charging pads, all held together by a rubbery strap so it folds back into something the size of a small macaron when you’re done. Right now, the unit is listed at $69.99 (down from about $89.99) at Anker, Amazon, and Best Buy, making it a tempting buy if you want to ditch desk clutter without paying a premium for a name-brand Apple accessory.

The whole point of this design is portability with function. Fold it up and it’s compact for a bag; flip it open and you’ve got a MagSafe-compatible 15W charging pad for your iPhone, a middle Qi pad for buds, and a dedicated puck for an Apple Watch. That 15W iPhone pad is Qi2-certified and designed to snap to MagSafe-compatible iPhones for a more reliable alignment than older Qi pads.

Early hands-on and coverage since the product’s IFA debut positioned it as Anker’s travel-friendly answer to pricier fold-out chargers from boutique makers — same core idea, smaller price tag and the convenience of a built-in wall brick. Review outlets pointed out the same structural advantages: compactness, flexible viewing angles for phone StandBy/nightstand use, and the inclusion of the power brick and cable in the box.

If you buy the pitch, what you’re buying are the charging speeds and the convenience:

  • 15W MagSafe-compatible charging for iPhone (Anker notes faster top-up for newer iPhones thanks to Qi2/MagSafe support).
  • Simultaneous 3-device charging — phone, watch and earbuds — without extra adapters or cables.
  • Boxed extras: Anker includes a 40W USB-C power adapter, a 5-foot USB-C to USB-C cable and a 24-month warranty — handy if you’re traveling and don’t want to add a separate wall charger.

Anker and retailer listings also call out a couple of practical figures: the phone puck folds into a stand so you can use iPhone StandBy mode or prop the phone for video calls, and the Apple Watch puck can be popped up for nightstand mode. Those are small things that add up if you use your phone as an alarm or rely on video calling while charging.

If you’re budget-minded, deal trackers and outlets have even flagged occasional deeper discounts (some past holiday drops fell lower), but $69.99 is a solid mid-season price that beats many single-brand alternatives while keeping Anker’s return/service network and warranty intact.

Who should buy it (and who should pause)

Buy it if:

  • You travel and want a single, compact charging solution that tucks into a carry bag without tangles.
  • You prefer MagSafe alignment over guessing on a flat Qi puck.
  • You want a bundled wall adapter and cable so you’re not hunting for extras.

Pause if:

  • You need brick-level speeds (USB-C wired charging still beats wireless for raw wattage).
  • You use non-MagSafe Android phones that don’t support Qi2 — while the middle pad supports Qi devices, the magnetic alignment perks are iPhone-centric.
  • You already have high-end multi-device docks with higher build-quality finishes and don’t value the foldable form factor.

This is the kind of product that rewards the little decisions: it’s not revolutionary, but it solves a handful of everyday frictions nicely. The UFO motif is more than a gimmick — it’s a practical package that folds, protects the pucks, and keeps a charging setup pleasant to use. At $69.99, you’re paying less than a lot of premium 3-in-1 docks while getting MagSafe alignment, included power hardware, and Anker’s warranty. If your desk, nightstand or travel bag is a tangle of cables, this is an elegant, affordable declutter.
