SpaceXAI’s business is bringing its chatbot, coding tools, and social network perks under one subscription. Called The X Subscription, the new offering combines Grok, Grok Bot, Cursor, and paid X features, with plans ranging from free access to $200 per month.
Announced in October, the bundle is designed to simplify access to the company’s growing collection of AI tools while giving customers one pool of included AI usage across Grok and Cursor. Rather than paying for separate subscriptions, users can choose a tier based on how heavily they use AI for everyday tasks, software development, and work on X.
The lineup includes five tiers: Free, Plus, Premium, Super, and Ultra. While the free plan provides limited access, paid plans increase the available AI usage and add more features across the services.
The X Subscription starts at $8 per month
The new subscription offers five plans, including a free tier for users who want to try the services without a monthly payment.
| Plan | Monthly price | Included AI usage |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Limited |
| Plus | $8 | Base allowance |
| Premium | $30 | 4x Plus |
| Super | $100 | 15x Plus |
| Ultra | $200 | 50x Plus |
The Plus plan adds more AI usage in Grok and Cursor, along with an X checkmark, creator tools, and fewer ads. Premium, Super, and Ultra provide progressively larger usage allowances, with the higher tiers including X Premium+ benefits when users connect an eligible personal X account.
Premium is particularly notable for customers who previously paid for multiple services. It includes the benefits of SuperGrok, Cursor Pro, and X Premium+, which the company says previously cost a combined $90 per month. The new $30 monthly price makes the bundle considerably cheaper than maintaining those three comparable subscriptions separately.
Annual billing is also available. Plus costs $80 per year, Premium $300, Super $1,000, and Ultra $2,000. Those prices reduce the effective monthly cost compared with paying month to month.
Grok and Cursor share one AI usage allowance
The biggest practical change is how the subscription handles AI usage. Paid plans include a shared allowance for Grok models that works across Grok’s apps, the Grok tab on X, and Cursor.
That means customers do not have to think of their Grok and Cursor allowances as entirely separate pools. If they spend less of their allowance in one service, the remaining usage can go toward the other. The included allowance refreshes weekly, and higher-priced tiers provide substantially more usage.
The bundle also includes Grok Bot on Premium and higher tiers. The feature is designed to act as an AI teammate that can carry out tasks, extending the subscription beyond conventional chatbot conversations and coding assistance.
For developers, SpaceXAI says each comparable new subscription tier includes at least twice as much coding usage with its own models as the corresponding Cursor plan it replaces. The company also says the new plans offer more usage per dollar than comparable previous subscriptions.
There is an important limitation, however. The shared allowance covers Grok models, not every AI model available through Cursor. Third-party models, including those from other AI providers, are available on Premium and higher tiers but are billed separately at API list prices through usage top-ups. Customers can set spending caps to help control those additional charges.
In other words, subscribing to Ultra does not automatically provide every benefit or usage limit associated with the former standalone Cursor Ultra plan. It is a new bundle with its own allowance and rules, even though Cursor remains part of the package.
What the subscription adds to X
The social network is another part of the package, although the benefits depend on the selected tier.
Plus includes a checkmark, creator tools, and fewer ads. Premium, Super, and Ultra provide the full set of X Premium+ benefits, including ad-free timeline viewing. Users must connect an eligible personal X account to receive the corresponding benefits.
The free tier, meanwhile, includes standard X access alongside limited Grok access and a starter allowance for Cursor’s coding agents. Users do not need to subscribe to the bundle simply to continue using X.
That distinction matters because the new offering is not just a replacement for an AI subscription. It is also a way to combine AI tools with paid social-network features, potentially appealing to creators, developers, and people who already pay for several of the company’s services.
Existing subscribers can switch, but they don’t have to
Customers who already pay for SuperGrok, Cursor, or X Premium can keep their existing plans, prices, and features for now. The company is gradually making account-switching options available through subscription and billing settings.
Eligible customers who switch can combine their accounts under the new subscription and receive a prorated refund for unused time on qualifying previous plans. The new subscription begins immediately, and the refund is handled separately from the new checkout charge.
Switching deserves a little attention before confirming, though. The process combines eligible accounts and billing into a unified setup, and the change is not reversible through the normal account-switching process. Customers should check which accounts they are linking and review the included benefits before proceeding. Subscriptions billed through Apple’s App Store can also require separate cancellation and refund steps.
The offering extends to teams, too. Premium, Super, and Ultra team seats cost $30, $100, and $200 per user per month, respectively. Team plans add centralized billing, administrative controls, usage analytics, single sign-on, and other organization-focused features, with each seat receiving the usage allowance associated with its tier.
Enterprise customers can manage Grok and Cursor through a shared dashboard, bringing the tools under a more unified billing and administration setup.
The X Subscription is available to new customers through SpaceXAI’s pricing page, while existing subscribers can check their account settings for switching eligibility. Its appeal ultimately depends on how much someone uses the individual services: customers who regularly use Grok and Cursor, and also value X’s paid features, may find the combined plan compelling. Those who only need one service should compare its included usage and restrictions carefully rather than assuming the bundle is automatically the better deal.
