Garmin has unveiled its third-generation MARQ collection, a lineup of six luxury tool watches that combine premium materials with advanced navigation, health tracking and specialized features for outdoor adventures, aviation, diving, golf and endurance sports. Announced on October 13, 2026, the new collection introduces larger AMOLED displays, built-in speakers and microphones, integrated LED flashlights, and embedded inReach connectivity for communication beyond a smartphone.
The lineup includes the MARQ Adventurer, MARQ Athlete, MARQ Aviator, MARQ Commander, MARQ Diver and MARQ Golfer. Each model is designed around a specific activity, combining Garmin’s smartwatch technology with specialized tools for its intended audience.
The third-generation collection starts at $2,500 and is available now, according to Garmin.

Garmin MARQ (Gen 3): design and display
The third-generation MARQ collection retains the series’ focus on premium materials while introducing the largest displays yet on MARQ watches. Each model features a 1.4-inch borderless AMOLED display, a Grade 5 titanium construction and a sapphire lens.
Garmin has also equipped the watches with distinctive ceramic bezels and model-specific straps or bracelets. The designs reflect their intended uses, while customizable watch faces inspired by traditional timepieces include World Timer, Panda and Flieger styles.
The result is a lineup that combines the appearance of luxury watches with Garmin’s navigation, fitness and connectivity features.
Navigation and inReach connectivity take center stage
Navigation is one of the major features of the new MARQ collection. All six watches come with preloaded TopoActive maps and address search, helping users navigate unfamiliar locations without having to download those maps first.
The watches also introduce embedded inReach connectivity, enabling communication without a smartphone when the required service, subscription and network connectivity are available. Depending on the connection, users can make calls over LTE, exchange text and voice messages, share their live location with loved ones through Garmin Messenger using Garmin Locate, and request weather forecasts.
For emergencies, users can trigger an SOS message to Garmin Response, Garmin’s 24/7 emergency coordination center. These communication and emergency features require an active service plan, and LTE coverage varies by location. Garmin also notes that the watch’s satellite communication and SOS capabilities have limitations compared with its dedicated inReach devices.
Other shared features include a built-in speaker and microphone for voice commands and interaction with a connected phone’s virtual assistant, along with an integrated LED flashlight for low-light conditions.
Health, fitness and recovery features
The third-generation MARQ watches offer health and wellness features designed to help users monitor activity, recovery and everyday well-being. These include heart rate variability (HRV), stress tracking, sleep monitoring and Pulse Ox measurements.
An ECG app is available on select Garmin smartwatches in supported regions for adults aged 22 and older, allowing users to record heart rhythms and check for signs of atrial fibrillation. Availability depends on the device and regional requirements.
Garmin has also introduced personalized morning and evening reports. The morning report provides information about overnight recovery, while the evening report outlines sleep needs and previews the next day’s workout, weather and events.
Battery life is rated at up to 18 days in smartwatch mode across the collection. Actual battery life will vary depending on usage, settings and enabled features.
Meet the six Garmin MARQ (Gen 3) watches
MARQ Adventurer
Designed for hiking and exploration, the MARQ Adventurer features a full-grain Italian leather strap, a ceramic bezel with 360-degree compass markings and leakproof buttons.
Its preloaded ClimbPro feature provides real-time information about current and upcoming climbs while hiking, riding or running, without requiring users to plan a course on a phone or computer beforehand.
MARQ Athlete
Built for training and performance tracking, the MARQ Athlete includes enhanced stamina metrics and running economy measurements. Its silicone strap and ceramic bezel with a VO2 max indicator reflect its focus on endurance sports.
The watch combines these performance-oriented tools with Garmin’s broader fitness, recovery and health-tracking capabilities.
MARQ Aviator
Aimed at pilots and frequent travelers, the MARQ Aviator includes dynamic flight mapping, a dedicated UTC hand and aviation weather reports.
Its padded calfskin leather bracelet and polished black ceramic bezel with UTC markings give it a distinct aviation-inspired design while retaining the specialized functionality expected of a pilot-focused tool watch.
MARQ Commander
The tactical-focused MARQ Commander includes night vision compatibility, stealth mode and an Applied Ballistics solver.
It features a camouflage jacquard-woven band and a matte black ceramic bezel with UTC markings. Its specialized tools distinguish it from the collection’s fitness, aviation and outdoor-focused models.
MARQ Diver
The MARQ Diver expands the collection with features for underwater exploration. It is designed for scuba diving, freediving, snorkeling and surface activities, with tactile leakproof buttons and support for underwater activities to depths of 40 meters.
The watch also includes boating features such as autopilot control and tack assist, extending its usefulness beyond recreational diving.
MARQ Golfer
The golf-focused MARQ Golfer includes Virtual Caddie, green contour data and more than 43,000 preloaded golf courses.
Its jacquard-woven strap and ceramic bezel with an 18-hole indicator distinguish it from the other models. Access to green contour data requires an active Garmin Golf membership.
Garmin MARQ (Gen 3) price and availability
Garmin’s third-generation MARQ collection is available now, with suggested retail prices starting at $2,500. Garmin’s announcement does not establish a single starting price for every model, so buyers should check the relevant product listing for individual pricing and availability.
The new collection combines luxury materials with specialized outdoor and professional tools. Compared with the second-generation MARQ watches, the third generation introduces a 1.4-inch display, embedded inReach connectivity, a built-in speaker and microphone, and an integrated LED flashlight.
Potential buyers should also account for the active service plan required for inReach communication and SOS functions. LTE availability varies by location, and Garmin’s connected services may have additional requirements. Golfers interested in green contour data should also factor in the Garmin Golf membership requirement.
