For those who were unable to attend “Thor: Love and Thunder” in theaters, Marvel Studios today announced that the film will be released on Disney+ on September 8, 2022, which is being celebrated as #DisneyPlusDay by the streaming giant worldwide.

“Thor: Love and Thunder” find the God of Thunder/Thor (played by Chris Hemsworth) on a journey, unlike anything he’s ever faced – one of self-discovery. But his efforts are interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (played by Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (played by Tessa Thompson), Korg (played by Taika Waititi), and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (played by Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.
“Thor: Love and Thunder” are one of 15 Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films that are currently available on Disney+ in IMAX Enhanced. Subscribers may experience the increased aspect ratio of IMAX, which offers up to 26 percent more pictures for an immersive viewing experience, at home with IMAX Enhanced.
