After a long-awaited wait, Snapchat has finally made its way to the iPad. The popular messaging app, known for its disappearing photos and videos, has officially released a native version for Apple’s larger-screened tablets.
Until now, iPad users have been forced to use the iPhone version of Snapchat, which was far from ideal. The app would run at a lower resolution and leave unsightly black borders around the content, making it a less-than-optimal experience.
With the new iPad app, Snapchat can now take full advantage of the tablet’s larger screen. This means you’ll be able to see more of your friends’ Snaps, capture content in a higher resolution, and enjoy a more immersive experience overall.
While the initial release only supports portrait mode, it’s a significant step forward for Snapchat on the iPad. It remains to be seen if a landscape mode will be added in the future.
In addition to the iPad app, Snapchat has been busy introducing new features. Earlier this year, the company rolled out AI-powered capabilities, including “My AI.” This intelligent assistant can help you set reminders, start countdowns, and even engage in casual conversations.
