Yesterday, Project CARS and Project CARS 2 game developer Slightly Mad Studios (also known as Slightly Mad Team) announced via Twitter that both games will be removed from sale due to expiring car and track licensing. The image posted by the Project CARS Twitter account clearly states that Project CARS and Project CARS 2 will no longer be available for purchase on October 3 and September 21, respectively, in 2022.

The games will still function normally for people who already own them even though they won’t be available for purchase. You won’t be unable to purchase the games after the aforementioned dates; there won’t be a server shutdown and you may still play online.

Thankfully, Project CARS 3 is still available for the time being, and the two earlier games will continue to function as planned.
