Opera has just unveiled a brand new feature that injects a dose of fun and personality into your browsing experience. Say hello to Tab Emojis!

Announced earlier this week, Tab Emojis is a new addition to the Opera One desktop web browser, available for Windows, Mac, and Linux users. This quirky update allows you to personalize your tabs by assigning them a little emoji icon.

“With Tab Emojis, you can make your tabs stand out from the rest in a fun and interactive way, helping you prioritize those that matter most,” says Santiago Benavides García of Opera. “This makes the feature both useful and fun, letting you make your browser feel even more unique thanks to the more than a thousand emojis you can pick from.”

Forget about boring, generic tab labels. Now you can add a visual flair that reflects the content of the page or simply matches your mood. Need to quickly identify that urgent work report you opened earlier? Slap on an attention-grabbing emoji. Perhaps you’re knee-deep in researching your dream vacation. or ✈️ could be perfect visual reminders.

Tab Emojis aren’t just about fun and games, though. They can also serve a practical purpose. With a vast library of over a thousand emojis to choose from, you can create a system for visually organizing your tabs. Feeling overwhelmed by a sea of open tabs? Assigning emojis can help you differentiate between them at a glance.

Using Tab Emojis is a breeze. Simply hover over any tab and a menu with five pre-selected emojis will pop up. If you don’t find the perfect fit among those, don’t worry! Clicking the “+” button unlocks the full emoji library, giving you access to a world of expressive icons.

Intrigued by this emoji makeover for your tabs? Head over to the Opera website to learn more about Tab Emojis. To start adding some personality to your browsing experience, simply download (or upgrade to) the latest version of Opera One. So next time you fire up your browser, get ready to unleash your inner emoji master and organize your tabs in a whole new way!
