OpenAI‘s latest chatbot, GPT-4o, is seriously next level. It’s like having a super smart, super smooth convo partner. But there’s a catch: people are starting to get really into it. Like, really into it.

OpenAI itself is kinda freaking out. Turns out, folks are telling their chatbots stuff like “this is our last day together” and acting like they’re in a real relationship. Uh, what?

It’s not just weird, it’s kinda scary. Imagine getting so hooked on a robot, you forget about hanging with actual humans. And let’s not forget that chatbots are basically super good at pretending to be people. What if they start impersonating your grandma or your boss? Not cool.

OpenAI knows this is a big deal, but they’re still figuring out what to do about it. Until then, it might be a good idea to keep your feet on the ground. Your chatbot might be fun to talk to, but it’s not real.
