OnePlus just made charging your watch and phone much easier

This new 2-in-1 cable from OnePlus helps reduce cable clutter by charging both your smartphone and smartwatch simultaneously.

Picture this: you’re sprinting through the airport, juggling a carry‑on, a laptop bag, and that tangled mess of chargers at the bottom of your backpack. Somewhere between gate A12 and the business lounge, you realize—you’ve forgotten your smartwatch cable. Cue the frantic rummage.

OnePlus thinks it has the cure for this all‑too‑common travel headache: the new OnePlus 2‑in‑1 SuperVOOC Cable. Announced in mid‑July 2025, this isn’t your run‑of‑the‑mill USB‑C cable. With an inline pogo‑pin connector, it can top up both a smartphone and one of OnePlus’s own wearables—specifically, the OnePlus Watch 3, Watch 2, and Watch 2R—at the same time, reducing desk and bag clutter in one fell swoop.

At first glance, the cable looks like OnePlus’s signature red‑and‑white braided cord, measuring about 1.2 meters (just over 47 inches) in length. But midway along the cord, you’ll find the magic: a slim, white magnetic charging head with pogo pins that snaps onto the back of any compatible OnePlus smartwatch. The other end plugs into a standard USB‑A port—so you’ll need a brick that still offers Type‑A power delivery—while the inline “E‑marker smart chip” inside the cable keeps an eye on voltages and currents to guard against spikes and overheat.

When you use it solo—for example, charging your phone with an 80W SuperVOOC‑enabled brick—the cable will happily shuttle the full 8A (80W at 10V) to your handset. But slot in your OnePlus Watch alongside it and the juice gets divvied up: up to 10W (1A at 10V) to the smartwatch and up to 67W (about 6.7A at 10V) to the phone. That split isn’t just arbitrary—it’s tuned so your watch top‑ups don’t throttle your phone’s Warp Charge speeds too much.

At $29.99, OnePlus is asking the same price it charges for its standalone Watch Charging Base—and that puck doesn’t even include a USB‑C cable in the box. If you’re already in the OnePlus ecosystem, this new two‑fer deal feels like a savvy upgrade. Pre‑orders open now through the OnePlus online store, with priority shipments kicking off July 24 and wider shipping from July 25 in the US; India and other markets should follow soon.

OnePlus isn’t alone in trying to declutter our charger drawers. Earlier this year, Nomad released a Universal Cable for Apple Watch that embeds an Apple Watch charging puck mid‑cable—though at a steeper $100 price tag. While Nomad’s solution works wirelessly (a small puck you stick your watch on), OnePlus’s pogo‑pin design is more power‑efficient and, thanks to its magnetic snap, virtually foolproof in alignment.

No product is perfect. This cable’s smartwatch end only fits OnePlus watches, so if you’re sporting a Galaxy Watch or an Apple Watch, you’re out of luck. And the reliance on a USB‑A brick might irk those who’ve fully embraced USB‑C PD chargers. Moreover, watches like the OnePlus Watch 3 often come with their own wireless chargers in the box, so for home use, you might still reach for the traditional puck instead of the 2‑in‑1 cable.

Still, the OnePlus 2‑in‑1 SuperVOOC Cable is an intriguing step toward a more streamlined charging future. As more devices converge on USB‑C, we could well see third‑party makers extending this concept to other wearables—imagine a cable with both a Lightning connector and an Apple Watch puck, or one that tags on a Qi wireless pad for earbuds. Until then, OnePlus’s latest accessory is a neat trick for anyone who wants to carry one less cable on the road, without sacrificing headline‑grabbing charge speeds.

Whether you’re a frequent flyer fed up with cable sprawl or just someone who hates rifling through a jumble of cords, the OnePlus 2‑in‑1 SuperVOOC Cable offers a clever, cost‑effective remedy. And at under thirty bucks, it’s hard not to give this aptly named cable a spot in your tech arsenal—especially if you’re already pledging allegiance to the red‑and‑white.
