NordVPN brings a FREE “Threat Protection” tool to every plan, plus a 72% discount

NordVPN is adding a new free tool called “Threat Protection,” or simply anti-malware protection, to every VPN subscription, which is now on sale for 72% off, starting at just $3.29/month for 2 years, $4.99 for a 1-year subscription, which is also on sale for 58% off from now until May 31st, 2022, and monthly plans start at $11.99 per month.

So, what is the purpose of this tool and how does it work? It’s very simple: “Threat Protection” protects users’ devices from malware and blocks trackers, unwanted and malicious ads, and harmful websites.

Some websites use trackers to monitor your browsing habits and behavior. Website trackers aren’t always harmful, as they can be used to improve user interaction. Other sites, on the other hand, may try to create a digital profile of your activities and sell it to other parties.

Threat Protection fills the gaps where a VPN failed. When Threat Protection is turned on, it prevents website trackers from following you throughout the internet, giving you a much more private online experience.

When we’re browsing the web, we can’t expect to be on our toes all of the time. Unfortunately, we can end up in a part of the internet where we have no business. Some websites have a reputation for infecting the devices of unknowing victims who visit them by accident.

Thankfully, Threat Protection will intervene right before the dangerous website even loads. If you try to access the site, you’ll see a warning message telling you to stay away. There will be no chance for any of the website’s content to load.

Phishing attacks frequently use misinformation to trick you into downloading a malicious file that contains a virus or a backdoor for further viruses to join your network. The solution to these attacks is Threat Protection.

Threat Protection will automatically scan any file up to 20MB when you download it. If malicious malware is found, the file is removed immediately.

Ads that actively interrupt and interrupt your surfing experience are known as intrusive ads. Autoplay ads, pop-ups, and distracting banners are all examples of invasive advertising. Intrusive adverts can also be embedded with malware that downloads as soon as you (unintentionally) click them, thanks to the more tech-savvy criminal. Alternatively, the advertisement may drive you to a website that collects user login information.

When Threat Protection is turned on, you’ll have a smooth surfing experience. Keep in mind, though, that Threat Protection is now only available on Mac and Windows. With all of these security enhancements, it’s important to realize what a VPN can do as well.

In addition to the new Threat Protection tool, if you sign up for a two-year plan, you’ll not only save 72%, but you’ll also gain free access to the Threat Protection feature!
