Messenger Kids gets a new experience including new dark mode, voice effects, and playing games within a chat. So starting with Dark Mode first, a dark mode which is already available on standard Messenger app, now dark mode landed to Messenger Kids app for iOS devices while the company says it will be soon available to Android devices.
Dark Mode on Messenger Kids can be activated in the app Settings by selecting ‘Dark Mode.’ Kids can also be set Dark Mode to device preferences which can automatically turn Dark Mode on or off whenever the device setting switch to the dark mode or light mode.

The second one is the new Voice Effects, kids using the Messenger Kids app on iOS devices have an opportunity to add voice effects to their voice messages before they send. The new Voice Effects in Messenger Kids will be available in the coming weeks on iOS while it will available later on Android devices, said the company.
Kids can use Voice Effects in their voice messages by tapping on the ‘voice’ microphone icon, pressing and holding to record your message then picking from five different options to change your voice to sound like a robot, ghost, gorilla or mouse, or sound like you’re talking into a seashell, and then tap on the arrow button to send it.

The third feature is new playing games while chatting. Before this feature arrives, previously kids have to leave their chat thread and go to the ‘Explore’ tab to pick a game. But, with a new update to Messenger Kids, kids no need to leave their chat thread and no more need to go to the ‘Explore’ tab to pick a game.
The company is allowing kids to start two-player games from within their chat threads on iOS devices while the Android users are still waiting. Kids can select a game to play by entering a chat thread and tapping on the orange controller ‘Play’ tab on the bottom right corner.
