Big news for selfie lovers! Leaked info (via Android Authority) suggests the upcoming Pixel 9 Pro might rock a crazy high-resolution 50-megapixel selfie camera. That’s a huge jump from the 10-megapixel shooter on the Pixel 8, and it basically means you can expect sharper, clearer selfies – no more blurry faces when you hold the phone at arm’s length! The leaks also say this new selfie cam will have autofocus, another first for Pixel phones.

The Pixel 9 Pro and its bigger brother, the Pixel 9 Pro XL, might also get fancy 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 sensors for their ultrawide and telephoto cameras. The main rear camera on these might stick with the same 50-megapixel Samsung sensor as the Pixel 8, but that’s still pretty good.

Speaking of cameras, a video on TikTok seems to show the Pixel 9 Pro in action. The video shows a 30x Super Res Zoom, which is something we’ve seen on Pixel 7 and Pixel 8. The phone in the video looks just like leaked images that were floating around last week.

If you’re looking at the regular Pixel 9, things might be a bit less exciting on the camera front. Leaks suggest it’ll have a more basic 10.5-megapixel selfie camera, but at least it’ll have autofocus, unlike the Pixel 8. The regular Pixel 9 might also borrow some camera tech from its pricier siblings, like the 50-megapixel main sensor and ultrawide sensor, but it probably won’t have the telephoto lens.

Changes for the rumored Pixel Fold 2 might be smaller on the camera side of things. And there are rumors about 8K video recording coming to Pixel phones, but it’s unclear which ones (if any) would get it or if it would be available right away.
